Rick Perry endorses Ted Cruz
Politico ^ | January 25, 2016 | Katie Glueck

Posted on 01/25/2016 1:18:38 AM PST by Cincinatus' Wife

Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry is endorsing Ted Cruz in the Republican presidential primary, Perry told POLITICO in an interview Sunday night.

Perry, who also sought the GOP nomination before dropping out in September, said he now sees the race as one that is between Cruz, a fellow Texan, and Donald Trump. Through phone calls and during a December day spent driving around his Round Top, Texas, home in his truck with Cruz, Perry said he found the senator to be a good listener who respects the Tenth Amendment, "knows what he does not know" and is more conservative than Trump.

"Of those individuals who have a chance to win the Republican primary, at this juncture, from my perspective, Ted Cruz is by far the most consistent conservative in that crowd," Perry said. "And that appears to be down to two people."

Perry, who is famously skilled at retail politics, will campaign with Cruz Tuesday across Iowa, and will join Iowa GOP Rep. Steve King to stump for Cruz again Wednesday. Perry and King will both join Cruz at a Des Moines rally Wednesday night.

The endorsement gives Cruz the blessing of the longest-serving governor in Texas history, just as the senator faces intensifying heat from other veteran politicians, including from his colleagues in Washington, Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad and former Senate Majority Leader Bob Dole.

Yeah, Perry was SO GODLY that he wanted to have little girls injected with Gardasil against their parents wishes.

I support Trump and I’m a Bible-believing Christian Conservative.
Who are you to judge me?

The Bible teaches us that God can work through people who aren’t saved...King Cryus, David, Paul, to name a few.

I pray that Trump comes to know Christ as His Lord and Savior. You, as a Christian, should too.

Amen to your post! Who are these folks to judge Trump’s heart....or the hearts of Trump supporters?

Yet, they claim to know - without a doubt - Perry’s heart. Unreal.

What I know about Perry’s heart is that he called me, and MANY other conservatives, heartless for not wanting to give illegals in-state tuition.

This holier than thou cr@p is only going to further diminish anything Cruz supporters say.

FWIW, the rude crass NY behavior is what first got me thinking about my willingness to support Trump if Cruz didn't get the nomination. Then I began to think about his finessing the Planned Parenthood issue and asking when did he become a conservative. I'm now convinced he's not a conservative and never has been. His supporters seem to be driven by emotion, mainly anger, to the point that they don't care about his life long support of govt control over individuals.

Not so...We're well aware of where Trump has been...We've put those things on the back burner since we see the bigger issue at the moment is saving our Nation from the One world Gov't, One World Religion globalists...

We know for a Republican to win in the General he will have to win over plenty of Independents and Democrats...Cruz can't get enough Republicans to support him and he certainly won't get any of the needed Democrats...

We believe if Trump doesn't win, our Country will shortly be over run with muzlim terrorists and illegals and at that point planned parenthood won't be needed...The muzlims won't just kill the unwanted babies, they'll kill the mothers who are carrying them as well as everyone who doesn't support izlam...

A person has to be blind not to see the direction the country is heading in...There is no one up there who will or can turn the tide except Trump...And maybe he can't but I believe he's going to give it everything he's got...And then if we can get better Reps in Congress, they can keep Trump within the acceptable boundaries...Candidates are even re-aligning their talking points to line up better with Trump because they can see he has the attention of the people...

Maybe more... much more... $200,000 an hour....

“Goldman Sachs — the investment bank that was so instrumental in causing the greatest economic collapse since the Great Depression — pays Hillary Clinton $200,000 an hour or more to speak to their executives and investors. (The median income for an American family is $52,259 a year.)”

GSDS, Goldman Sachs Derangement Syndrome CAN be cured.

Do you Trump people EVER think about anything else?
You know your godling Donnie does business with and owns stock in Goldman Sachs, right?

Someone asked if there were nude pictures of Melania Trump, I answered yes because she did pose for some.
Can’t handle it?
Not my problem.

Leave me out of your derangement please.

Rick Perry is for Open Borders, Rigged Trade Treaties, Endless War, War in Syria and massive deficits that will bankrupt future generations. In other words he is an Establishment/Globalist Pig from the Bush wing of the Republican party.

That sums it up quite well.

Yes Trump said it yesterday on Fox Media Buzz with Howard Kurtz.

Trump was trying to push the birther issue on Cruz, EXACT WORDS “ The Wonderful Professor from Harvard”

Heck I heard him another time refer to Tribe as BRILLIANT

He has no legal philosophy , no anchor that guides him so not really surprising... Eminent domain for example

This poster is one of the ones at the other site saying the things I reported last night. I haven't had the stomach to look at the freakshow today. They're the 2016 version of Romney/2012. These posters are cancers who must be excised.

From the "CommittedLowInformation" blog--here are some excerpts from various posters:

Ted Cruz deserves that money more than Jim Rob at FR.

There's very little reason for anyone who supports Cruz to stay. FR's become increasingly toxic.

Most of the mods are old women

You are correct the leftist have infiltrated FR buttered and buddied up to Jim Rob and kissed his @ss to gain his trust and approval as sleeper cells until it was time to finally take full control over FR.

Ted Cruz deserves that money more than Jim Rob at FR.

Jim Rob is Captain Queeg staring Humprey Bogart.

Encourage others there to stop donating to Free Republic in a mass exodus from Free Republic.

jr is not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

I think they stole the code from DELPHI FORUMS

It is ironic that a website supposedly dedicated to all things conservative will not engage in "filthy capitalism" to fund itself, rather, adopting a PBS model.

The trumpanzees are sub-human in my opinion.

I sense and have been told that Jim Relies on Free Republic for INCOME. I don't know this for a fact but if it is true then Id say he may well see the less than optimum in donations and fear for his future

Withhold any donations them, tell the others to do so also to refuse to send in any money to Free Republic.

I posted a open invitation to the Ted Cruz supporters for a revolt in refusing to send in their donations to Free Republic I am so grateful for this place where I can speak freely-- I cannot do so on FR any longer. It is a totally PHONY "conservative" website

Beck had the balls to stand up to the scum, though, which is sadly more than can be said for Rush and Hannity. only 45.5 percent of 1,050 FReepers name Trump as their first choice.

It is ironic that a website supposedly dedicated to all things conservative will not engage in "filthy capitalism" to fund itself, rather, adopting a PBS model.

JR has gone batty

Make America a Ghetto! Vote D.J Trump!

So you are saying Jesus sees no difference from pro life and pro abortion?

Jesus sees no difference from people that vote to remove His Name from classroom/Public Square etc?

I disagree with all that`s in me, and for full disclosure have held this view all my adult life, I have said and am on record here many times saying the terms “Christian Democrat”and “Pro choice Christian” are both oxymorons

So I am consistent to hold this same view with everybody.you would have me not hold everybody to the same standard.

I could quote a multitude of Scriptures to back me up, but there would not be enough room to hold them all here.

What a ridiculous argument...

We have a Christian in Cruz that is on the right side of the issues right now, who has poured himself out for us, and you want to choose another that does not stand for Christian issues on the chance he might come to the Lord at some point.

Total nonsense and a lie from the pit of hell.

Well at least get your talking points down, most of your crowd are arguing that he already knows the Lord.
