Regrouping
JANUARY 22, 2016 ~ CONSISTENTCONSERVATIVES
This is an emergency means for us to keep in touch with our FRiends, who are real Conservatives, in case of purging. Or, if there is no purging, do we really want to continue our discussions in the forum where the owner despises us for not supporting his non-Conservative candidate?
My purpose is to figure out what to do to continue our discussions to advance Conservatism.

That screed is sick but laughable. Short on facts, but loaded with emotion, and ugly accusations and assertions.
I can't recall getting anyone banned or trying to get anyone banned ... LOL. In fact, just yesterday, I was stunned and angry when I thought
CRUZ SUPPORTER, ETL was suspended !
I read the comments at that site and the horrid knocks against Jim are totally baseless, void of fact and filled in venom, but he's seen the same before. Nothing new ... merely a different set of P.O.'d, bruised and sulking egos.
It should go without saying, but I'll say it anyway, that hoosiermama is a fine Christian lady, that Doughty-One is an honorable man, whom I know in person and that Catholicism is NOT a cult and that our Religion forum has not been over taken with Catholics by any stretch of the imagination
FR's Moderators are NOT senile ... well, ... a little crazy maybe ... I mean, WHO would want their jobs?
Sheeesh, I've already wasted too much time on this site and its disgruntled members.

Indeed!
I think I will sit it out, if John Ellis somehow wins the nomination.
Either that or someone will have to drag a very loopy me to the polls.

At one time, any comment bringing an argument from one thread to another was deleted. Not sure when this changed and why.

Jim, don’t worry about it. It’s all talk.
We wouldn’t give up Free Republic... who would we argue with? If I said some of the things I say here in person, I might have some bruises.
I’ve been a thorn in some sides because I don’t like or trust Trump at all and I’m kinda in the minority.
But I haven’t been attacked personally and I think the mods are doing a good job about that.

While I may be misreading between the lines, it is my impression that you are moving on. I wish you well.
Sorry about the passing of your friend.

That is the kind of statement that causes dissension. I don’t like or trust Trump but I would vote for him.
You think anybody here is gonna vote for Hillary or Bernie?

A few months ago Trump and Cruz were supposedly some kind of team. But when Cruz’s numbers started declining, a few simply couldn’t deal with it. So there ya have it.
And for others that might not know, all they will do is go over there and talk about the Free Republic non-stop.

Looks like they are already getting bored. Groupthink is boring and the format over there isn’t too good for conversation.
I got a kick out of one of them not wanting to use their FR screen name because they worried about retaliation. LOL
Must mean they plan on coming back and want no accountability for participation in trashing FR and others posting here.
Sures sounds like die hard rock ribbed conservatism to me. /sarc

LOL I was referring to the town drunk in my town. I have not voted democrat since becoming US citizen in 1970. But I did help democrats in 1960’s in Chicago since I was infatuated with JFK. I still think he was a good prez. He was the first POTUS in my lifetime to pass tax cuts for businesses. That helped my find a good job.

If I may. If you don’t get a seat at the table you don’t get any cards. At this point I believe Cruz may well be the most conservative one in the race. I also am very concerned that he is not electable at the national level. The people that aren’t willing to understand the above are always in a snit mode.
Many of them stayed home rather than vote for Romney. I loathe McCain and have for decades but I campaigned for him and Romney after the primaries were done. I then voted for both. A poor player at the table is better than fetching drinks.
