The first white British youth to join ISIS in Syria was a 'class clown' turned to Islam by his Muslim school friends, MailOnline can reveal.

Jack Letts, who now goes by the name Ibrahim or Abu Muhammed, is living in Iraq after fleeing the UK when he was 18.

The middle-class 20-year-old son of an organic farmer from Oxford told his parents that he was going to study Arabic in Kuwait before secretly travelling to war-torn Syria, arriving in September 2014.

The youth was raised an atheist. Isn't it funny the non-Muslim Westerners who join these groups tend to come from families that raised them with no moral values. When you raise your kids to believe in nothing they will believe in anything including radical Islam.

For the typical, sexually frustrated teenage boy, it would be the opportunity to indiscriminately enslave and rape women without any repercussions. It doesn't get discussed as it should by effete Western journalists, but it is radical Islam's primary drawing card.

The “class clown” is usually an arrogant, hostile little jack-ass whose only goal is to be the center of attention, and he does not care who his behavior affects. So, a class clown raised by “organic” farmers (read: paranoid conspiracy theorists) is practically a custom-made personality for becoming a Weatherman in the 60s, a neo-nazi in the 80s, or a Muslim terrorist now. Whatever the rebels are doing, he’ll want to be there.

I think as raising families and working as a debt-slave is no longer a priority for many young Westerners they seek to give meaning to their lives in other ways. Environmentalism certainly attracts many (as a new religion of its own), and radical Islam does as well.
