Pataki: Clinton’s legal issues will force outsider into Dem race
The Hill ^ | January 24, 2016 | Ben Kamisar

Former GOP presidential candidate George Pataki is predicting that Democrat Hillary Clinton's "legal issues" will force an outside candidate to jump into the 2016 White House race as a white knight.

"People talk about the problems in the Republican Party, but I think Democrats have a bigger problem," the former New York governor told host John Catsimatidis on "The Cats Roundtable" on New York's AM-970 on Sunday.

"Hillary Clinton is cratering, the scandals just keep coming. She has grave legal issues that could totally prevent her from continuing her campaign, and the alternative is a self-avowed socialist who has never run anything."

Pataki added that it would not surprise him to see an "outsider jump into the race" like Vice President Joe Biden, California Gov. Jerry Brown or Secretary of State John Kerry.

Despite his previous pronouncements that Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump has no chance at the GOP nomination, Pataki conceded that his prediction isn't borne out by reality.

"He's just tapped into anger towards Washington, anger towards politicians," he said.

"I understand the anger, but the solution is not to get behind someone who expresses the anger but does not have the necessary solution. I hope people coalesce around somebody who has a positive vision about how to bring Americans together."

Pataki dropped his bid for the White House last month after failing to gain traction in the polls. He was a mainstay on the undercard debate stage.

NOt that Pataki is right, the one thing that he does bring up is:

If not Killery then who? Bernie the commie? He has no chance of winning the general election.

Obviously, VP Bite Me has zero chance, John Vietnam Kerry has zero chance, Gov. Moonbeam has zero chance.

Al Gore? (always a loser)

Chuck Schumer? (he does seem to win)

Liz Warren?

After that...I haven’t got any idea who has enough national visibility to even offer a credible democRAT alternative to Trump/Cruz 2016.

Joe Biden will be elected IF voting is restricted to the 5 wealthiest ZIP codes around Washington DC.

Flyover does NOT see Biden as American Royalty... in fact flyover doesn't see ANY of the blowhard elites in DC as "Royalty"...

I think it would be hilarious if Kerry got in. He’s been very busy doing EVERYTHING evil Obama wants. And the selection of Hillary’s successor as Secretary of State would be a huge middle finger to her.

There were,at most,a dozen people in the entire country who didn't think BllyBob was within hours of resignation in January 1998.

The Former Twelfth Lady's as safe as a kitten with a Rat in the WH.The likelihood of her being indicted with a Republican in the WH is about as close to zero as you can get.

Governor O’Malley must be wondering what he has to do to get some traction here. He's in the darn race already, yet nobody EVER mentions him as a possible nominee. That has to hurt.
