Nice try. This is what he actually said.

DT: I don’t like the idea because I want to keep the lands great, and you don’t know what the state is going to do. I mean, are they going to sell if they get into a little bit of trouble? And I don’t think it’s something that should be sold. We have to be great stewards of this land. This is magnificent land. And we have to be great stewards of this land. And the hunters do such a great job—I mean, the hunters and the fishermen and all of the different people that use that land. So I’ve been hearing more and more about that. And it’s just like the erosion of the Second Amendment. I mean, every day you hear Hillary Clinton wants to essentially wipe out the Second Amendment. We have to protect the Second Amendment, and we have to protect our lands.

Can’t trust the states. What if they do something the federal government doesn’t like? What if Trump sees a better usage for them and the states muck it up? The land is there for the USA. To make it great. To use it to make deals. Just think of all the casinos and strip clubs that can be built. Big beautiful casinos with terrific fountains and great strip clubs better than anyone has ever seen...

I am quite sure that the Constitution limits the land the Federal government may own(Article I, Section. 8) within the borders of any state. That said, the Federal government has been able to retain control over huge amounts of the western US for several generations, despite the territories becoming states. The Donald, right or wrong has coupled his “land grab” with keeping land free and useful to all Americans. The land has been grabbed for a long time. Moreover, as a practical matter, we have seen liberal legislatures systematically, lease access to state/federal land and take it from the use of the people. Purity tests aren’t going to cut it with any candidate. I doubt even Cruz would slip his head in this noose.

.
Here is a show that explains how the Bureau of Land Management is abusing their powers over land, something TRUMP has now said he agrees with!
.
Jacki speaks with British author Rupert Darwall, international finance specialist and former Advisor to the British Chancellor of the Exchequer, on the Global Warming movement, its goals and methods. She also is joined by Rob Henneke of the Texas Public Policy Foundation to discuss the suit versus the federal government over their seizure of private property along the Red River.

The choices are:

Trump who might be able to vs the gopE.

Cruz who will never be allowed to win by the gopE. Nor would he be able to capture one “moderate” vote. (Most who call themselves moderates are really liberal.)

Any of the other rino gopE types.

Sanders who is a socialist.

Hillary who is just plain evil.

When I look at the list I don’t see much to get excited about.

This guy's response to every question is “great” - I'll make America great, we'll be a wall better than the Great Wall, trade agreements will be great, government will run great, I'll make the military great, all my polls numbers are great.

Drones line up please.

Why is there “Federal Land” outside of military bases and National Parks voted on by congress?

If the land is not designated as one of the two above, then the land belongs to the States and the people within. If the majority of land is owned by the people (which it should), then the gov’t will benefit from the proper tax revenue. So it seems that holding land in Federal and State gov’t hands is counterproductive to them.

Trump seems to be moving to the center with his statements these days which is very dis-concerning.

The one thing I have noticed is that there is a tremendous amount of disinformation and outright lies being attributed to coming from Donald Trump.

It is way too easy in this digital age to spread lies and innuendo and way too many willing to except what they see on Internet as truth.

Trump needs to really understand the depths of unconstitutionality the feds have plumbed including unconstitutionally commandeering state lands outside of the guidelines of Article I, Section 8, Clause 17.

Those lands constitutionally BELONG to the states NOT to the feds.

Mr. Trump, America’s greatness is in the AMERICAN PEOPLE and their freedom to govern themselves individually and locally which includes state governance. America’s greatness is NOT in the unconstitutional federal government which is expressly limited by the Constitution.
