I was in D.C. during the Snowlocalypse and I’ll never forget people trying to clear sidewalks with leaf blowers.

One year I was driving through Charlotte NC after a freak snow storm. It had been two days since it started. There were cars and trucks all over the place. Those guys did not know how to drive.

DC gets now every year. You would think they would get it together.

I think they all need to come spend a winter ...a full freakin’ winter in the ‘snowbelt’. An inch of snow creates chaos? Wake up to 10-12 inches of the white stuff and still have to get to work...ON TIME.

I went to high school just outside DC (decades ago), and people in that region simply don’t know how to deal with snow. Two inches on the ground in the a.m. and schools got closed.

i used to work in arlington and had to cross colombia tpke... i woudl stand at the light and laugh my ass off watching people ram into each other because they didn’t allow for the increased stopping distance... unbelievable...

so they will take a week off with pay due to snow....

This has been going on forever. I grew up about 4 miles out from the DC/MD line. Plenty of winters we got decent snow. And my dad would take me to school in DC on his way to work(Pentagon).we’d be putt-putting along in the’64 VW bug,past all the cars strewn here and there by people who didn’t know how to drive in the snow. That was in the early 70’s.
