I think they all need to come spend a winter ...a full freakin’ winter in the ‘snowbelt’. An inch of snow creates chaos? Wake up to 10-12 inches of the white stuff and still have to get to work...ON TIME.
An inch of snow over a wet/icy asphalt base is something you have obviously never dealt with, or have forgotten about.
Chains, studs, 4 wheel drive AND ice tires are of little help when trying to control your car under those conditions.

10 whole inches? I lived in a place where we got over 500 inches in the course of the winter. Five feet in a day was not uncommon.
