If trump or cruz get the nomination, I’ll put a yard sign up for either. If it’s Jeb, no. I will just not even vote. I couldn’t have that disaster in the making on my conscience.
I do not demand purity. I'd simply like to not get tabbed in the back anymore. I'd like to have people working to oppose the Left. I'd like to see some respect given to limited-government principles as espoused by the Constitution that they swear to uphold. It's not that tough, and the GOP works harder at attacking those people than they do attacking the Left. For that, they need to be eliminated, permanently.
and how exactly are you going to get people to do what you want if you never vote. What you want is a purist , someone who agrees with you on everything and it has to be your way or no way.
I agree with you that there are many in the GOP who won’t do sod all against the left, but we have two decent candidates who are not establishment.
For the record I want Cruz, but will vote for Trump.
Every official states they will do something on our side and none ever do, but the left sure gets their way and their agenda passed.
Nothing infuriates me more than “principled” non-participation. The enemy of my enemy is a friend indeed when in need.
Those of you who did not vote against the Usurper for what ever reason, regardless of how valid, brought this Republic to the edge of extinction.
You bastards.
Had we not worked with Russia, most of the world would be speaking German.
You noble and principled jerks gave all of us:
Four more years of “fundamental change”.
Four more years of race baiting antics.
Four more years of Arab Spring.
You gift wrapped Iran a nuclear program.
You created Europe-istan, need I go on?
I do not recall any stories of Paul Tibbets being concerned if the Atomic Bomb was a conservative or not.
We are truly at that point:
Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped and battle hardened. He will fight savagely.
This is a battle to restore a constitutional government. We will need a thousand Ted Cruz(s) to accomplish this.
But first, we need to take down the Axis of Evil:
-The Socialists
-The New World Order
- and the Islamic Forces that they employ.
We must use the Trump bomb, it is an ugly weapon, but the deployment is not optional.
We must use it now.
There will be collateral damage, but such is the price of Liberty.
We will have to pick up the pieces in the years that follow.
If you do not vote, then you have abandoned us at our most dire time of need and help. If you don’t vote then STFU and leave.
It will most likely be Trump, and yes I will be voting for him.
If it’s Cruz, then I will vote for Cruz.
Anyone else.... No way.
Just trying to figure out how far your principled stance against principled non-participation extends. And whether you think the obligation to rally around the party should be reciprocal.
How’s this for an example of my principled stance on participating...
In the booth, if I were to see Hitler VS. Clinton, I would have to say to myself...which would support and protect their nation? Which would do everything possible to stop an invasion? Which would not sell out?
Certainly, there would be a check mark.
The check mark would not go to Clinton.
I do not take this lightly. I have children, I have grand children. It will never be said that I did not try to preserve the Republic to advantage them. It will never be said that I did nothing to stop the degradation of Liberty.
Even if that means..Jib, er, Jab, ummm... that Bush fellow.
Same for me.
What amuses/amazes me are those folks who state that they won't vote for anyone but Cruz or Trump, but expect those who support other candidates to support Cruz or Trump if they're the nominee.
For me, the Supreme Court is why I'll vote for whomever the eventual GOP nominee is, even if they otherwise make my skin crawl.
“Why do you continually misspell Cruz in your posts?”
Because I know some people that have the name Cruse and that’s how they spell it.
I suppose it’s a regional thing like Smith or Smyth.
I voted for Romney. That didn’t turn out so well. Why? Afterall, I didn’t vote for him in my primary. But when we nominate liberals, we tend to lose. Why? In part, because we’re not offering much of a choice. I will vote for Sen. Cruz in my state’s primary, and if he loses, and the party nominates trump because they think he can win, then I’m not sure which his worse, trump winning or trump losing the general election. I will abandon the Republican Party for the first in over 30 years, and I will vote for a more conservative third oarty.
Maybe if enough of us do that, Republicans will nominate an ACTUAL CONSERVATIVE.
Well, at least you’re for the right guy. Rock on.
They must be stopped.
The quicker the better.
However,if it takes three or four election cycles, that will work also.
Right now, how many back room deals have been put in place with Clinton based on her coronation?
Their plans have been put in place. Plans that are decades old. Putting anyone else in office can put those plans on hold, maybe for a few months, maybe for years or decades. Any impedance will help.
A new party in office, no matter who it is, will slow them down as people and plans are replaced. It takes time to implement new management in such a leviathan of an entity.
That is why all must vote.
I’ll vote for the GOP nominee, it’s ABC for me.
I would support strongly either Cruz or Trump. The only ones I would not vote for are Marco Rubio the White Obama and Jeb Bush.
Cruz for me and my wife.
If it’s Trump - probably for me but I would never be able to convince my wife. Trump reminds her of President Dwayne Elizando Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho from the movie Idiocracy.
I’m not an evangelical Christian. I know a bunch. I like ‘em. I feel fairly comfortable with them. But I have a few disagreements with them, so please stop lumping me in with them.
I’m tired of the folks “running as conservatives.” Why not nominate an actual conservative?
You’re calculus is wrong. You appear to blame our electoral losses on conservative voters who weren’t excited in large numbers to vote for liberals. We might not do so well until we bring conservatives back into the picture by nominating a conservative.
Moral of the story: don’t nominate an ultra liberal masquerading as a conservative.
I have no problem with President Cruz going against Putin. He’ll be tough as nails and won’t give away the store.
With whacky trump, I don’t know whether he’ll start a nuclear war or give away the store. I guess it depends on which side of the bed on which he gets up.
Kinda like the 45% tariffs he’s not going to impose. Up until he imposes them.
Or the tens of billions (hundreds of billions?) of dollars we’re going to spend forcibly deporting every illegal, only to spend some tens of billions of dollars (I hope) to “expedite” their legal re-entry. So we get around 10,000,000 new citizens that we never anticipated having.
Or his pro-life views that he loudly touts. Until asked if he really means it, and he answers, “It depends when.”
This is worth repeating - for all those (and I've been counting) who say they won't vote Trump. We've been through this so many times - those who won't vote Trump will be putting Hillary or Sanders in. Is that what you want AGAIN! Hillary is more Obama, Is that what you want?
