I just finished watching Sarah Palin's endorsement of Donald Trump and I have some observations.
Sarah Palin is a rhetorical genius. Like her or not, she's really good at political rhetoric.
And, I hope Trump is PAYING her, she's worth $5mil a month during the primaries so hopefully he'll be paying her at least $3mil/month.
This endorsement matters. She bring more "blue collar" credibility and conservative "good enough" to put all other GOP challengers back on their heels looking for life support.
This endorsement likely is the death knell for the Cruz campaign. I think it now means Trump will win Iowa, something I was sure he had locked up. I even contended aggressively with fellow Freepers on this matter. I considered it an illusion that anyone besides Cruz could win Iowa, but now I believe it will be Trump.
And Sarah Palin will be the reason.
Without Iowa, Cruz has no campaign.
Flame away, but do as well as you can to keep it civil.
Odd idea of a party you have. Rather sick, to be perfectly honest.
Mariner, you are spot on. Loved what she had to say, but her voice was pitched too high. I was on the computer, and only listening to her speech, and her voice was a bit off putting. She could try dropping it a bit. I can’t remember it being that high when she was running for V.P., so I figure it was the excitement of the moment, but the content was pure Sarah and was great.
“I liked the endorsement. Sarah kicks Ass!”
I’d like to see Sarah be more serious. Her speech was too much like a comedy routine. She didn’t get massive applause.
No. I believe her endorsement is heartfelt.
I hope he's paying her to campaign.
He probably paid for her trip, but I don’t think you pay for endorsements.
His speaking voice is good but his phrasing and condescending tone are extremely annoying, as is his tendency to over do it with references to himself.
You never know - Bludog Democrats might have a new appreciation now for Palin since she endorsed Trump!
this blade has two edges.
No, pretty much, it was just a bad day for Sarah Palin. Call it what you will.
I agree and Thank God we have Trump now when he is so badly needed. Do the Times make the men, or do the men make the Times?
So much for her being a Conservative. Endorse the former NY Democrat.
Too many reality TV shows.
Hmm...What’s up with you???
Not a peep from you on Free Republic for since June of 2006, and yet today you post 29 anti Palin/Trump posts...Are you getting paid????
The fact that you think God has anything to do with this election cycle is disturbing all by itself.
Please stop basing fellow Freepers.
We got a little venemous pansy troll here.
LOL!!!!
Great speech. Her profile is definitely come down a few notches, but I’d imagine some caucus-goers are still checkin’ for her.
Why do you listen to someone who depresses you?
Trump's attacks on Cruz and Carson are identical to the left's attack strategy. I respect Cruz and Carson and even Rubio more than I can respect Trump. Trump, to me, is looking like a spoiled, rich, carnaval snake oil salesman.
So ... what's your real opinion? *ducking*
(I agree with you, by the way -- well said)
“The content of her speech is brilliant, speckled with nationalism and patriotism.”
Great day for Trump!
Your writing is pedantic, I also find you boring. Perhaps you should find a new hobby other than going to Trump threads. Just a suggestion.
