The Supreme Court announced Tuesday that it will take up a case challenging the legality of President Barack Obama's executive actions aimed at granting quasi-legal status and work permits to up to five million people who entered the U.S. illegally as children or who have children who are American citizens.
The high court's widely-expected move gives Obama a chance to revive a key legacy item that has been in limbo for nearly a year, since a federal judge in Texas issued an order halting immigration moves the president announced just after the 2014 midterm elections.

Trump should address this immediately. He is already the man in charge as far as I am concerned. He should make a statement on behalf of his followers. A simple tweet ought to do it. Something like, “...since when do we have to make a federal case out of everything!?”

Will never be a Republican president. This ruling will expand the Dem voter roles in a yyuuggee way.

There’s also a little twist to this in how the Administration played nasty political games with the 5th Circuit. Sending down very junior DoJ staffers to answer questions, lying about how many green cards had actually been issued, trying to throw punches in the court of public opinion, etc.
The Court is, and has been since at least Marbury v. Madison, very much protective of the perogatives of the Judiciary as a co-equal branch. They’ll tolerate the Obama Admin throwing the middle finger at the Congress and the public, but at itself and subordinate courts? No so much.

The supremes will use some haughty language, act indignant, and the rule in favor of Obumagabe. Again.
Yup.

Any executive action will be overturned by President Trump.
I would like to see a pledge from these candidates that they will sign an order on DAY ONE that every EO issued between 21 Jan 2009 and 20 Jan 2017 are hereby NULL AND VOID. I want to see a pledge so I can decide between the top three.

I agree, the Roberts Court is a corrupt institution and will approve this.
I also think that Trump has corrective action in mind and will apply it after his inauguration.

We all know now what the Bush family is whispering in Robert’s ears: don’t deport Yeb’s supporters.
Judge Hanen will be severely chastised for his impudence in the face of King Barack.

Roberts has already been sent his vote and the explanation he is commanded to give for it. The man has no honor, is possessor of a dead soul, and is one of the most useful weapons the oligarchy field in their managed end to the Republic.

This isn’t good. If they had rejected it, it would have let the lower court ruling that Obama had no such authority.

The Court is as crooked as the rest of the Federal Government.
And soon we have CW II.

SCOTUS ruling with be 6-3 and it will kill Obama’s blanket amnesty. This is very narrow and clear cut. I will be shocked if this was 5-4 either way.

Yes, you are correct.
Any short-term gain from SCOTUS will generate the blowback effect of an even BIGGER landslide for Trump. Especially since it will likely come in October.
Be careful what you wish for Democrats.

AND I WILL BE PLEASATNLY SHOCKED if SCOTUS reigns in the first Half White/Half African President. Many in America are planning on the third term of Obie through the surrogate Bubba Klintoon's unqualified spouse.
