Ted Cruz camp: 'Blow to Sarah Palin' if she endorses Donald Trump
Washington Times ^ | 01/19/2016 | David Sherfinski

Posted on 01/19/2016 5:27:37 AM PST by GIdget2004

A spokesman for Sen. Ted Cruz's presidential campaign said Tuesday it would be a "blow" to former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin if she endorsed businessman Donald Trump for president.

"I think it [would] be a blow to Sarah Palin, because Sarah Palin has been a champion for the conservative cause, and if she was going to endorse Donald Trump, sadly, she would be endorsing someone who's held progressive views all their life on the sanctity of life, on marriage, on partial-birth abortion," Cruz campaign spokesman Rick Tyler said on CNN's "New Day."

It ain't quite that bad, but she won't bring a boatload of conservative voters either. Since the VP run in 08, Sarah has made a few faux pas which have dimmed many's view.

She did string us along until, what was it, September or October of 2011, sucking the air out of any organized conservative effort to get some other conservative nominated.

Now, as conservatives try to coalesce around the conservative in the race Ted Cruz, she supposedly will pick the populous Donald J. Trump, right before the first primary.

"...ut Cruz is the second best man for the Presidency."

I prefer Cruz on the Supreme Court - to replace Ruth Bader Witchberg.

Look folks....all the fog of political war does not blur the fact, that the American people have got to make a choice about who they choose to be the POTUS, come November, 2016. I can assure you folks...you have but one choice...and if you choose the wrong one, America, as the great nation you once knew will disappear forever.

The path of history is lined with with failed empires, Rersians, Romans Egyptians, Germans, Japanese, etc....most of which failed internally by the hands of weak leaders or ambitions that failed. This is the driving fate of the USA as it exists today!!! Our nation has been placed in steep decline!!!

You better wake up to reality. You have only one choice......and, it is not Ted Cruz, it is not Hillary Clinton, it is not Bernie Sanders......you know who it is!!!
The fate of your destiny, your children;s destiny, your country’s destiny, belongs only with you. Choice wisely or slip into the lost history with other failed nations and empires, that let or allowed thmselves to fail and disappear!!! It can happen...and, it has many times!!!

“GO DONALD TRUMP!!!”

Swear it's getting old listing to you guys tell everyone what to do.

I notice a lot of people running around with their own little personal yardsticks, too. Posts like the "you're not a Christian if", "you're not really a conservative if".

Weren't these the same people chastising everyone for being TOO conservative and to just hold your nose and vote?

Now many people have found a candidate they don't have to hold their nose for (or at least not as tightly) and STILL get chastised for it?

Some people are just never happy. LOL! :-)

Palin got Cruz elected, got Nikki Haley elected, got the current governor of Iowa elected, etc

I wonder if Team Cruz feels Palin’s endorsement of Haley was a bad idea also? That could make things interesting in SC.

The Trump Train is rolling and rather than get out of the way Team Cruz just jumped on the tracks with that preemptive insult of Palin. They’re in panic mode, IMO.

From her entrance on the stage in 2008 Palin has been a top target for the liberals and even the Establishment.

I remember in 2008, I was not all that thrilled about McCain, but I did like Palin, I went out and saw her do a stump in Lakeland Florida. After 2008 she was familiar face on the Tea Party scene and again was given the full treatment of the media.

Do I think this will add allot of votes to Trump?

No. Not really. He has a good following already from the Tea Party crowd.

But I think it is a move to get Cruz bad mouth Palin. And there I think its already working.

Iowa is too close to call, it will come down to the ground game and who gets their people to the caucuses.

It is clear that Cruz is doing the old fashioned door to door method in Iowa, Trump is trying something different. We will know in 3 weeks.

All I see here is a mob of moderates stoning a conservative candidate for his values. Same old crap of personal destruction and lies for anyone who disagrees with them.

Yep, it’s all about popularity, not substance. If you don’t believe this, you’ve been asleep over the past seven years while Obama and his evil band of liberals have slowly destroyed the foundations of this nation.

American is not going to be restored based the pride and popularity of its leaders, but on electing Godly people of substance and value. Therefore I urge you to think about it before casting your stones among yourselves.

Jimmy Carter was a Sunday School teacher...and look at his results.

Exactly. It’s pretty clear some people want a Pastor in Chief as POTUS and that clouds their decision making process.

Just what part of this article is an insult, to anyone? I also believe it will hurt Palin’s brand of she endorses Trump. Or is this just an purposeful over reaction to try to frame Cruz in a bad light?

Cruz camp bullying Sarah Palin. As I live and breathe. Vile.

Yep. Insulting her judgement before she even officially endorsed Trump. Was her “judgement bad” when she endorsed Cruz and Haley (SC primary)???? Trump Train is about to wreck Cruz. What a desperate and amateur move by them.

I don’t want to believe it any more than I like seeing the Head of Eagle Forum endorse the used car salesman who counter speaks his own record. Is a cabinet post that important to Palin she’d sell out Conservatives.

He has NOT had a Come to Jesus moment, despite his supposed now religious views, still supports gays, abortion, and not opposed to appointing Justices like his very Liberal sister.
His Touchback position on Amnesty has already been purposed by the Dems. And any one believing Mexico will pay for a fence is delusional.

Cruz has already voted for the money for the fence. But Seismic equipment is going to be needed to detect the tunnels they are building.

You are known by the Fruits you put forth and if a person just says what “tickles” the ear, you should avoid them. And that is what we are seeing in Trump.

As each E.F. chapter is independent not all share her views.

Flight log shows she’s going to Iowa and then to Tulsa. So is Trump. I guess they could be flying separate, per the typical MO of our betters.
