Presidential candidate Donald Trump told ABC's George Stephanopoulos that he'll consider filing a lawsuit against Ted Cruz regarding his U.S. citizenship. Trump made the comments after Stephanopoulos asked whether he'd sue.

Trump has no reason to put himself through this much, other than he LOVES this country and refuses to give it over to those that want to make America different. It is obvious Trump LOVES our country and he has lived here his whole life. Nothing against Ted Cruz, I truly think the best of him, but he in no way is more qualified are patriotic than Trump.
Trump has given up everything to run for POTUS. Cruz still has issues regarding if he even qualifies or not. Again, Cruz is phenomenal, but if he tries to slam Trump, who only got into this race to help our country, it will back fire.
What exactly have the ^true conservatives^ in congress accomplished?
Obamacare scrapped?
Illegals deported?
Wall built?
Anchor babies outlawed?
National debt reduced?
Abortion restricted?
China trade deficit reduced?
Food stamp growth curbed?
Welfare growth reduced?
Fraud in Medicare & Social Security under control? (25% of Medicare payments go to fraudulent claims, and there are tens of thousands of people over age 110 still getting social security checks automatically)
If Trump can deliver any 3 of above, he is more than enough conservative for most rational people.
Now here is an example of a slick career politician, who changes with the wind. He gave the following speeches couple of years ago, and now has flip-flopped. Besides he is un-electable. I do not wish to see another Goldwater scale fiasco.

You used to say you were in favor of birthright citizenship. Now you are against it. Not just on immigration, you used to support TPA, now you are against it. I saw you on the Senate floor flip your vote on crop insurance because they told you it would help you in Iowa. And last week we saw you flip the vote on Iowa for the same reason. That is not consistent conservatism. That is political calculation.^

You are correct. I think we sometimes forget that Trump is the only one making a huge sacrifice in all of this.

Exactly. Trump is like David against Goliath and his courage is what is impressive.
All things considered, Trump is a true patriot and is sick and tired of weak politicians not giving the American people who voted them into office, what they were expecting.
You have Ryan as the Speaker of the House. He is a JOKE. He will not do anything Conservatives want.
Even though the Republicans have the majority of the Senate and the House, they have done nothing to advance Conservative causes, because anyone who goes to Washington becomes a Sell Out. And if Rush or Levin try to trash Trump who has put his life on the line to run for office, then shame on them.
Trump does not need this. He has a cushy life. He is only running because he is a disgusted with the political types in Washington. We just had a State of the Union delivered by Haley who went on to bash Trump. She did not bash Obama, she based Trump. That tells you all you need to know.

Trump has nothing to gain by running. The White House living environment is not as good as what he already has.
He does not need fame or connections like the Clintons did in order to make money, he already has money.
His ego is not clamoring to meet with world leaders, he already has met many world leaders.
Look at Trumps children. They are not out trashing him or being rebellious. They love and respect their Dad and do not need to be on the front page of every magazine. When Obama ran, his PR agent made sure and still does, that he gets the best press possible. When Kerry ran, he had his girls front in center in order to get more attention in the tabloids.
Trumps children are competent adults/parents and they are busy WORKING. That is what Trump does. He WORKS. Unlike politicians like Obama, Rubio who misses votes, Trump actually puts in a fuels day work and knows what it is like to roll up his sleeves. Unlike the others who sleep in late, get a massage and go to a fundraiser.

There is not one person alive suffering Alzheimer’s, who can give 2 hour speeches WITH OR WITHOUT A TELEPROMPTER. But inane and ridiculous Trump attacks are symptoms a common malady known as TDS.
You know what really amazing about Donald Trump? Even his ex-wife came to his defense against innuendo’s in the media. That is extremely rare in divorce rich America. And that tells volumes about the character and mentality of any man, when the ex-wife rises to his defense.
What you should take away from this exchange is that I have no interest in reading long cut and paste jobs of talking points that you have already posted who knows how many times. I am not going to debate a Trump spammer.
My time is valuable to me and your reliance on repetitively posting the same talking points indicates that you are not willing to invest your time in a true dialog.

Injury has to be concrete though, and it cannot be conjectural. How would Trump prove that a significant amount of Cruz support would flow to Trump when there are 10 other candidates in the race?
Trump would have to show a 3rd party not in the suit would not have affected the outcome. He would have to get other candidates to join his suit and they would collectively have standing.
I dont see speculation and hypotheticals winning any standing in any court.
He doesn’t actually have to go through with it....the idea is to “shake†Cruz...What Trump doesn’t realize about Cruz is his very temperament does not shake easily...and he knows who he’s dealing with better then Trump does. My one son is like that...very level and stable and it takes something earth shattering to move him....it’s an impressive trait because while others might be getting their pants in knots or getting the jitters they just maintain that level even control and focus.

Everybody and their uncle knows there are only 2 candidates running who oppose the GOPe. Every pollster worth his or her salt will testify in court that it is the insurgents Trump & Cruz against all the other entrenched GOPe candidates. Either one of them quits the race, the other one benefits.
Bear in mind thatthe GOP convention is a self-contained tribnal. It too can find Cruz unqualified.
There is a case to be made that Cruz was an intentional foil to get designated-loser Jeb the nomination.

Such may seem odd to us now, but that’s how the Founders set it up. Standing, for the most part serves us well. The Electoral College has served us well. This NBC thing may be inconvenient for some, depending on who’s ox is in the ditch. Of course they assumed that the citizens would be sensible enough to elect honorable people as leaders.

You and many other must have misunderstood what the Senate dems were really doing by declaring McLame NBC (which he did not need their lame declaration and which he an they well knew). They were giving cover by projection to nobama by chance his really flimsy citizenship details came up.
We will never know. Rush only gives rare interviews to a select few people in the media where he knows he will get a fair shake.
Whereas Donald Trump is willing to go on any show and enter the enemy s camp in order to speak the truth.
Nothing against Rush, but he has nothing on Trump. Trump is facing the enemy full throttle and yes, Trump will always draw more crowds than Rush day in and day out. It is what it is. Does not take away from Rushs value, but Trump is willing to take action. Not just words, but action.
