TEHRAN - Iran announced Saturday that it had released four Iranian-Americans as part of a prisoner exchange with the United States.
The announcement from the judiciary on state television did not identify the four, but Iranian news media said they included Jason Rezaian, The Washington Postâs Tehran correspondent; Amir Hekmati, a Marine veteran; and Saeed Abedini, a pastor. There were discrepancies in the Iranian reports about the identity of the fourth prisoner.
It was not immediately clear whom the Americans released, but Iranian reports said seven Iranians were freed.
The exchange was apparently orchestrated to coincide with the expected announcement of the lifting of nuclear sanctions against Iran, the most important phase of the nuclear deal reached with world powers in July.
The incarceration of the Iranian-Americans had become an increasingly bitter side issue.

He is certainly going to do that, plus a lot more during his last year. With today's hostage swap agreement with Iran where we directly negotiated for the release of Americans for Iranian spies and smugglers along with other Iranian benefits such as looking the other way on their ballistic missile tests, I wonder how far would Obama go? Would he withdraw our carrier battle group and other military assets from the Persian Gulf for instance? He could completely throw Saudi Arabia to the wolves and let the Iranians have a shot at taking over the Muslim holy sites. I think we are going to see a parable of horribles during Obama's last year
Cruz missiles worked it appears!!! He’s been constant on this
That Scripture has no connection to what I was saying.
You are throwing that at me for repeating what The Bible says about how one must be saved
If I said I was better than someone then your Scripture would be appropriate. But I never said that,
You are throwing a Scripture around that you dont even know what it means.
Trump asked this question
âWhy do I have to repent or ask for forgiveness, if I am not making mistakes?â asked Trump. âI work hard, Iâm an honorable person.â
That states without doubt that he has not yet been saved, has nothing to do with a mote in my eye.
Trump needs prayer, and frankly seems you do also, if you believe that someone who asks that question could already be saved.
At this point by Mr Trumps own words he has yet to accept Christ, in fact he rejects Him at this point.
If we went by your standard of the Scripture nobody could here the Gospel
Trump has stated that he is a good person not in need of forgiveness... Jesus went to the Cross, bled and died, said all have sinned, not one is righteous not one.
Mr Trump has not yet thanked Jesus for dying for his sins. By Biblical fact he is not yet saved, I pray that changes!
I supported him as my # 2 up until he began to unfairly viciously attack Cruz.
But anybody who believes they are not sinners because they are a good person, has never accepted Christ, has nothing to do with judging, anybody that believes that is not YET saved.
Its not a point that is even debatable
You sure do know how to peer into other men’s souls and know how they stand with God, hey?
I stand by what I quoted.
Jesus was talking EXACTLY about people like you.
I find your version of Pharisaic Christianity an abomination. You don’t know Trump, Cruz, or any of the others. Not one of us can say what Trump has in his heart. He was talking to the Press—not his Minister! Clinton carried around his thick dog-eared Bible to show how he was right with God. Was he?
In any case, Jesus said to give to Caesar what was Caesar’s; to God, what is God’s. Caesar wasn’t saved. But he still ruled. We’re electing a president, not a pope.
If I’m supposed to support the best Christian, I’d vote for Huckabee, not Cruz.
I stand by what I said as well, anybody who does not think they are a sinner has never personally thanked Jesus for dying on the cross for their sins... hence they are unsaved and our in great danger... I will leave it there
And my reply to you would be to actually agree with what you said but also say when the press is interviewing Trump that that is not a confessional before God. Frankly and honestly, you do not know WHAT Trump believes about himself and Jesus. You just don’t.
The interview in the press when some “journalist” asked him that has no bearing on his personal beliefs, because it is not clear whether Trump understood if he was asking that in a religious sense, or if the reporter was talking about his business and public persona.
So my contention is you just don’t know, and to state publically on this forum that Trump “would never praise God” is false witnessing.
It is hard enough to go before God with your own heart and seek His forgiveness. To judge a stranger’s heart is without knowing him is sinful.
I am not above correction absolutely not.
However liberals love to throw the Scriptures around such as though shalt not judge etc, but they dont realize that when they accuse someone of judging , they are actually making a judgement themselves.
I stated a biblical fact that a person that believes they are not a sinner is not saved. A person that says they have no sin calls God a liar
Bible also says that God is not a respecter of persons, if you are not found in the book of life, if you die in a state of rejecting Christ, you are lost... I am using “you” in a general sense.
This is far more than you want to hear from me, but the terms “Christian Democrat” “Pro Choice Christian” “homosexual Christian” are all oxymoron’s
I never said a unkind word about Trump until ...less than 2 weeks ago
I just read some eye opening articles at the Federalist and Charisma magazine, man when you see in print right in front of you what Trump has said about his views on abortion, wow is all I can say
Glad that I have sobered up on him, he was always my number 2
Obviously, Trump was the tool God sent and which he used to get the prisoners back.
I’m pretty sure it was $150 billion dollars.
I’m glad the hostages are free and on their way home.
BTW, what did it cost the US taxpayers...about a billion apiece?
Iran is playing Obama/Kerry like an old violin.
So, what did they get in exchange?>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The former Shah of Iran’s State wealth: 156 Billion and the ability to further supress Iranian citizens and incleased waging assymetrical warfare around the world.
Obama again, traded in a brand new Bentley for a used Ford Pinto. Its actually treasonous.Impeachement would be too good for him.
Welcome home to the 4 prisoners, it only took Obama 7 years to become American enough to bring them home. Good thing they were not US Marines. Obama would have let them rot just like his episode in Mexico where he did nothing.
maybe he will become a Christian like apostle Paul on the road to Damascus, that would be great.
Hey would make my day if Trump, Clinton and Obama all became Christians and renounced their former lives... I would be praising God and weeping absolutely I would.
Can you imagine if the 3 of them all said they renounced abortion, gay marriage and all the other anti Christian values they supported, and for sure the Democrat party and its platform... that would be something
No doubt Iran is probably getting back some nuclear bomb and ballistic missile technology spies/scientists...
This was 100% Trump. He opened this up. The Iranians were scared of him and that crap head obama was scared of him. Thank you Donald!!
Obama practicing for the future photo op with the former hostages. The 1.5 billion dollar ransom check is in the mail, and he will play the humble hero.
That is so freakin gay.
Maybe the blind Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman!!
