Republican presidential contender Ted Cruz should be disqualified from the race because he isnât a ânatural-born citizen,â a fellow Texan claims in a âbirtherâ challenge filed against the senator in a U.S. court.
Easy now, we’ve had a good discussion, no need to devolve it into belittlment and conscension.
My point was that the orginal act gives us keen insight into the writers and framers intent concerning what constituted in their mind who was a “Natural born citizen”.
The reason I refer to the Naturalization Act of 1790 is it was the only US statute ever to use the term “natural born citizen”.
Granted the Nat Act of 1795, 1798, and 1802 superceded the original act but with minor changes.
“Notice it clearly states that such children, born to Citizens abroad, are ‘citizens’, and NOT ‘natural born citizens’. Why? Did they want to make sure that no such children would end up being President? I don’t think so. The reason, that I think, they removed the ‘natural born citizen’ text, is because they realized that they didn’t have the authority leave it in. Being ‘natural born’ is an element of natural law, and no man is capable of changing the laws of nature. So they revised the text, to what they were capable of, and declared that children, born out of the jurisdiction of the US, to Citizens, would be ‘naturalized’, and not ‘natural born’, Citizens.”
The fact that it was removed is accurate, the reason for that is quite speculative.
That keen insight, insight which you are blind to despite being glaringly obvious and which has repeatedly been pointed out to you and which has been explicitly stated to be so by the Supreme Court, is that these persons required a naturalization act.
We are close, I’m slightly less than a year older than you.
I can stomach Trump, he worries the hell out of me in certain ways but I could vote for him without holding my nose.
He has brought to the surface topics that needed to be addressed and for that I give him credit. One the flip side I believe him to be a populist/pragmatist with an empty core lacking conservative ideals.
That really bothers me.
It’s obvious you are unable to discuss this topic with me without attitude.
Have a nice afternoon.
The deficiency is yours.
I don’t know whether you have difficulty reading, purposely omit or insert words, or are hallucinating (in which case see a doctor). The foreign-born children of citizens have always required a naturalization act. The act in force at the time of birth controls. That’s the entirety of it. It’s exceedingly simple.
:: I could vote for him without holding my nose ::
Me too simply because he has lived the American dream and is compelled to see that our children can do the same. He knows that someone will replace him in the “billionaire” club. Why not your grandson?
To me Trump is a patriot and I think that among us conservatives and Tea-Partiers, that counts for so much more than just lip-service to the rules of politics and government.
Again, I view trump as great entertainment.
Cruz is the qualified patriot for POTUS.
Agreed In-Toto.
That statement must have been seen at TCTH as that is where the article first appeared. And as stated ON THIS site there is an IF in front of the statement. Whether seen in the article itself, or in the replies there to the article, that is not remembered. We have seen copy of his BC but I do not remember seeing any other record or if it is or is not available. IF not, why not? That is all that is asked.
In these days and times...
“IF” is akin to Tinkerbelle...speculation should be identified as such, not proffered as legitimate argument.
Where, when and in what way has Sen. Cruz “sealed” his birth records from inquiry?
It is assumed it to be you who asked that my prior post to oakie?? be pulled. Under that assumption, if you do not like what was posted to you do you intend to have the mod do this again? And are we now to ban anything from The Conservative Tree House? These are only questions which need to be answered. AMERICA looks for answers, truthful answers as well as a LEADER. As stated earlier, I am a Cruz supporter as well as a TRUMP supporter. To find that Cruz has so many viscous followers makes me cringe. Is this the America that bo-rock has left for us?
IF IF IF IF IF IF IF -—questions that NEED answers. Are we no longer able to ask?????
You are offering speculation for fact.
Your efforts should be questioned if-and-until you can provide “bonafides”.
Has Sen. Cruz “sealed” his birth records from inquiry? It is incumbent ON YOU to provide such info.
It is not my job to provide anything. Like others at this spot, I read, I comment. If you wish to travel over to TCTH and check out their replies and the article yourself, it is suggested you do so. As I stated prior, we have seen his bc so I found the statement questionable at best. How you wish to translate that statement is yours and yours alone. And BTW, I thank you for your reasonable response w/o the rabid insults. In the future,, when something is found and stated, I will post a link to satisfy your rebuttal. If that be my error for not doing so this time, it is only due to the fact it was a question and I did not realize that such a rule was written in stone.
:: It is not my job to provide anything ::
Dude! That why your sh*t is being pulled.
Uncouth people such as you will be the demise of Cruz. If he should lose this election, pat yourself on the back. You’ve done your job.
I agree with you; very fishy stuff went on....
any chance of the suits against Cruz opening up the can of worms vis a vis 0?

[snip] An 85-year-old Houston lawyer... Newton B. Schwartz, Sr., who is leaning toward supporting Bernie Sanders for president, filed the lawsuit seeking a declaratory judgment in the U.S. District Court in Southern District of Texas, as reported by Bloomberg News. [/snip]
"This precedes your court case by some 100 years and certainly illustrates with clarity the mindset of the framers concerning this very issue.."
Or perhaps they “removed” it because it didn’t belong under the heading “naturalization” or that it was self evident or whatever.....
Speculations as to motive is generally pretty soft ground.
