Donald Trump took his front-running campaign for the Republican presidential nomination to Pensacola, Fla., on Wednesday night. And, holy cow, did people come out in droves to see him.
Here's a photo of the crowd taken by WaPo's own Jenna Johnson.
*snip*
Trump's campaign claimed it gave out 20,000 tickets; the arena holds 11,500 people. According to Jenna's reporting, there were "at least 11,000" in attendance and "several thousand more were turned away."
Large crowds are the rule, not the exception, at this point for Trump. He had 8,000 people in Lowell, Mass., earlier this month; more than 2,000 showed up in Burlington, Vt., -- not exactly a conservative enclave -- to hear Trump speak last week.
I've written a lot about crowd sizes this election and how they remain an uncertain indicator of actual support. But, Trump's ability to draw thousands and thousands of people to hear him speak this close to actual voting -- we are 19 days from the Iowa caucuses -- suggests to me that the enthusiasm and passion he has sparked among a certain segment of the GOP base isn't going anywhere any time soon.

I haven’t concerns raised about the others. I’ve only heard people saying Donald Trump is mentally ill.
I’m truly amazed at the level of voluntary ignorance posted by fellow Freepers to your post! LOL!
Post a link if it is out there. Otherwise you may be seen as an unstable liar with mental issues.
Perhaps your TDS is even a dangerous threat.
It has been “headed off” already, to all of sound mind and integrity. Read Mark Levin and Andrew McCarthy.
Not worried about his eligibility. I hope he is okay, I wouldn’t wish mental illness on Donald. This is not about my perception, we just don’t want it to take him out. It would be so simple for him to take care of it. Just get a psychological screening.
Ignore the troll. Obviously CRuz supporters are miffed about the NBC (ongoing issue) and Trump’s suggestions to CRuz to get the Declaratory Judgement and his latest comment to drop out, if the situation cannot be remedied.
Some have now resorted to the straw man (Dem tactic) of questioning anything/everything about Trump.
There was an article posted, recently, about this tactic. Interesting to see them reducing themselves to this. Just ignore and Trump on!
No, I like Donald. I think he’s great. He just needs to head this off early.
And you have...haven't you?
Why would anyone waste their time trying to share information with you?
Pardon me while I do something more profitable. I have a brick wall in the den I can bang my head against.;-)
Say WHAT?
Why may I ask, do you have this sort of concern about Trump?
He has already released his medical records which were excellent, and if there was any sign of mental disturbance it would already be out there.
The voices in your head, maybe?
The only one talking about is you. I’ve seen read a lot of threads on FR in regards to Donald, and I don’t recall a single one mentioning anything about mental illness. There are some diehard Trump haters out there and I’ve never seen them mention it. So you can stop your foolishness and STFU.
I’m asking myself why you are posting this crap on numerous threads all over the place. If Donald Trump is mentally ill I hope he gets worse.
Mark Levin seems to think Cruz is eligible for president and that doesn’t seem to be enough. Trump better get this mental illness thing behind him.
See my post #67 ;-)
Ah, so the troll is spamming threads?
See my post #67 for an explanation.
Good luck with your desire to smear Trump’s sanity.
You apparently think Trump is hiding mental illness. That would mean the following are either in on the secret or duped ...
1. Hannity is in on it.
2. Rush is in on it.
3. Herman Cain is in on it.
4. Senator Jeff Sessions is being duped.
5. Phyllis Schlafly is being duped.
6. And Michael Savage, probably the most paranoid anti-establishment paranoid talk radio host around, is also being duped. [Regading sanity not sure he would notice to be fair.]
I’m sure the list is even longer than that.
In the meantime, Trump was attacked during the response to the State of the Union Address by the ‘G’ OP. How ‘Wellstone Memorial’ of’em. About as strong an endorsement in Trump’s favor as you can get.
Just worried about him that’s all. He’s probably just fine. I don’t doubt he’s fine. He’s probably not mentally ill.
Without it, it appears you are the one in need of help.
