Donald Trump took his front-running campaign for the Republican presidential nomination to Pensacola, Fla., on Wednesday night. And, holy cow, did people come out in droves to see him.

Trump's campaign claimed it gave out 20,000 tickets; the arena holds 11,500 people. According to Jenna's reporting, there were "at least 11,000" in attendance and "several thousand more were turned away."
Large crowds are the rule, not the exception, at this point for Trump. He had 8,000 people in Lowell, Mass., earlier this month; more than 2,000 showed up in Burlington, Vt., -- not exactly a conservative enclave -- to hear Trump speak last week.
I've written a lot about crowd sizes this election and how they remain an uncertain indicator of actual support. But, Trump's ability to draw thousands and thousands of people to hear him speak this close to actual voting -- we are 19 days from the Iowa caucuses -- suggests to me that the enthusiasm and passion he has sparked among a certain segment of the GOP base isn't going anywhere any time soon.

Trump has been my second choice all along. He has helped Cruz by taking the flak that might have otherwise been directed at Cruz up until now.
Trump says a lot of nastier stuff than calling people “zombies”. His attacks are sometimes more personal too. So, if he is your “chosen candidate”, allow me to suggest you grow a thicker skin.
BTW, I still think that a Trump-Cruz ticket is the nation’s best bet right now.

When they couldn’t take Reagan down by deionizing him, they tried to raise mental issues to do it.
They came away with a big fat goose egg for their efforts, but they caused themselves to be viewed for the pariahs they were.

You gotta be kidding me. Reagan WON because he attracted Dems. In case you haven’t read this, voter registration in the US is a big advantage for Dems. The espoused goal of every Republican I know of is to be able to attract Dems.
Exactly. I believe nationally voter registration is 29% Dem / 26% GOP. Straight party line voting and GOP will always lose POTUS elections. Guaranteed.

Trump says he heard about it the birther issue. I’m saying I heard the mentally ill issue. Getting even is not my intent. It is to expose Donald’s weasel concern troll way of campaigning. Clearly it struck a nerve.
Maybe this is “apples and oranges”, but what comes to my mind is that the best pastors I’ve had the privilege to hear are those who have came out of the “bad” side.
Those who have NEVER sinned, I found to be without understanding of mere mortals.
Maybe having tried the other side, Trump has a real grasp of how they work.
You can lie as much as you want. It won’t make it true.
Seven months in, about ten million people having heard Trump’s message, and hundreds if not thousands of interviews in, and no mention of any mental problems, you start the actionable rumor on an internet forum.
Nope, it’s already out there. Been there a long time. I’m trying to put it to rest out of concern for Trump, just like he’s doing the same for Cruz. We’re both just nice guys helping out.
Provide proof that it has been out there a long time.
