Donald Trump took his front-running campaign for the Republican presidential nomination to Pensacola, Fla., on Wednesday night. And, holy cow, did people come out in droves to see him.
Here's a photo of the crowd taken by WaPo's own Jenna Johnson.
*snip*
Trump's campaign claimed it gave out 20,000 tickets; the arena holds 11,500 people. According to Jenna's reporting, there were "at least 11,000" in attendance and "several thousand more were turned away."
Large crowds are the rule, not the exception, at this point for Trump. He had 8,000 people in Lowell, Mass., earlier this month; more than 2,000 showed up in Burlington, Vt., -- not exactly a conservative enclave -- to hear Trump speak last week.
I've written a lot about crowd sizes this election and how they remain an uncertain indicator of actual support. But, Trump's ability to draw thousands and thousands of people to hear him speak this close to actual voting -- we are 19 days from the Iowa caucuses -- suggests to me that the enthusiasm and passion he has sparked among a certain segment of the GOP base isn't going anywhere any time soon.

I guess its like Trump not wanting to see Cruz brought down by the birther issue. Just being concerned about what others might do, but which they have not yet done.
Pre-emption, or back-biting? I guess it depends on whose ox is being gored.
I worked with Democrats. I was trying to break up the one party rule in the city, and I hoped that too many Democrats on the primary ballot in low turnout municipal primaries would get the corrupt incumbents out. Every one of those Democrats, who opposed the establishment incumbents, was even more left-wing nutcases than the incumbents.
“A lot of people are talking about Donaldâs mental illness and we donât want it to take him down.”
You can post the same lame attempt to mock Trump’s comments about Cruz-z-z’s citizenship 100x and it’s STILL nothing more than lame trolling.
What's your take on the effective operability of a "republic" with a Commerce Clause that lets the federal government assume control everyone's health care via "single payer"?
>>Here’s what I think I’d do: I’d go and seek a full psychiatric screening...
You’re nuts.
So, you have a beef with corporations?
Funny stuff. Funny, funny stuff. I have lot’s of problems. They’ve gotten worse since I started talking like Donald. I hope he gets his problems fixed. I like the guy. I hope this doesn’t hurt him.
“Funny stuff. Funny, funny stuff. I have lotâs of problems. “
Yeah. One of them is that you can’t spell “lots.”
Another one is that you’re a troll.
HEY MODS!
I learned concern trolling from the best. Donald Trump. Does it all the time.
“>>Here’s what I think I’d do: I’d go and seek a full psychiatric screening...
You’re nuts.”
Oh I agree. It could be a general anxiety disorder of some kind or some other panic disorder, or even possibly be a bipolar and/or explaining mood disorder.
But but all 50 of them will vote /s

You gotta be kidding me. Reagan WON because he attracted Dems. In case you haven’t read this, voter registration in the US is a big advantage for Dems. The espoused goal of every Republican I know of is to be able to attract Dems.
I’d seek help for that. It may be your dopamine over activity because of blocked receptors overacting to irrelevant external and internal stimuli. Then there’s the possible problem of brain anatomy or genetic factors.
BFLZ
Different style of setting designed to convey intimacy and allow voters to ask questions and ‘get to know’ the candidate.
I wouldn’t discount this approach in Iowa or New Hampshire at this point in the campaign and it remains to be seen whether Trump’s large rally method is better at attracting voters to the polls.
This style will also be used in at least one of the debates with the Democrats so candidates including Trump are well advised getting in some practice in a more intimate setting.
If you're like this in real life, then I pity you...and your family.
Yea, so 0buthola can take his CC permit to? I think you better have your TDS checked.
I suspect it's more like "dope over activity".
Then hope he does not pick Rubio for his veep
