A new CBS report ahead of President Obama's last State of the Union address details how the Republican response - delivered by South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley - will serve as a rebuttal to the policies of GOP frontrunner Donald Trump. The new report seems to underscore prior reporting from the Washington Post that "Rep. Paul Ryan is rapidly emerging as Republicans’ anti-Trump."
CBS writes: "The Republican response to the President Obama's State of the Union address Tuesday evening appears to rebut… some of the policies espoused by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, according to excerpts released by House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisconsin."
According to Ryan's excerpts, it seems as though Haley will focus particularly on chastising Trump's call for curbing immigration:
"I am the proud daughter of Indian immigrants who reminded my brothers, my sister and me every day how blessed we were to live in this country. My story is really not much different from millions of other Americans. Immigrants have been coming to our shores for generations to live the dream that is America…Today, we live in a time of threats like few others in recent memory. During anxious times, it can be tempting to follow the siren call of the angriest voices. We must resist that temptation. No one who is willing to work hard, abide by our laws, and love our traditions should ever feel unwelcome in this country."

Adulteresses’ like Haley is why patriots like Donald Trump are so popular. The way she disgraced our heritage with the debasement of the Confederate Battle Flag is a travesty. She dishonored the memory of our gallant dead..North and South.
If she is genuinely grateful to be in this country, she can begin by honoring every day, those that actually fought and died to give us these United States. I truly cannot find the words to express my contempt for her, or the losers that sponsor her.
Remember when she talked the talk and was going to be the next conservative savior? What a sellout and fraud she is.
This points out something important. People who, even if they are natural born (is she?) who aren't immersed in our culture and history will do the US great harm. We have a lot of people in the US who aren't integrated into our traditions. It adds to the argument that we have to have a "time out" on immigration.
JMHO, I think the establishment 'pubs using this speech to insult a candidate instead of addressing her concerns to Obama's disasters, reinforces our point. The elitist leadership of the Republican Party is our enemy, and now they're resorting to a whole new cadre of hatchtpeople!

Exactly. I have a problem with Rubio and Jindal running for president for this very reason.
It may be legal but it shouldn't be.
Rubio is the son of Cuban refugees. Do we really want the child of Syrian refugees running for president one day?
What about anchor babies?
Even though Cruz may be legally allowed to run for president, do we really want to set that president?
What if the birth country isn't Canada but is China, Russia, or a middle Eastern country?
I don't have a problem with a birth abroad if the parent is serving the country in the military or diplomatic service but I do have a problem with someone just choosing to live in another country, having a baby, and letting that baby grow up to run for president.
I am far from a legal scholar but it seems like we should be looking at future issues that come from current decisions.
The establishment Republicans are afraid that Don will break of their club of do nothings.

No, that was some skank named Elmers, I believe..some congress”woman”. Haley was caught several times, I don’t know if it was with the same guy or not. I remember reading about it...she has some pretty loose drawers,...typical.
Obama and Haley, Democrats and Republicans, aren’t taking a shot at Trump or Cruz, they are taking a shot at the American voter who is tired of politics as usual in the United States. Politicians are suppose to do what the American people want, not what’s best for their wallets and the wallets of their corporate supporters.
