Reagan Adviser Laffer: GOP Will ‘Landslide’ in 2016 — ’45, 46, 47 States Out of the 50′
Brietbart Television ^ | January 10, 2016 | Trent Baker

On the Sunday broadcast of "The Cats Roundtable" on New York City's AM 970, host John Catsimatidis spoke about the upcoming 2016 presidential election with economist Arthur Laffer, a former member of President Ronald Reagan's economic policy advisory board.

Laffer not only predicted a victory for the GOP, but he would be "surprised" if they did not take as many as 47 of the 50 states.

"I would be surprised if the Republicans don't take 45, 46, 47 states out of the 50," he said. "I mean, I think we're going to landslide this election."[continued]

What issues is he not conservative on? Please name one.

Universal health care for one. He said that “he” (meaning you and I and our taxes) will make sure everybody has health care/health insurance. He sometimes forgets/discards the idea of “individual responsibility”. YOU have heard of Google, haven’t you. Look up what he has said on the subject.

And, just so I don’t shortchange you, government subsidies/mandates on ethanol and other things. He sometimes forgets/discards the idea of “free markets”.

Trump not a “solid conservative,

Trump is far more conservative then Cruz. Do you really think Trump would give away American jobs and sovereignty with TPP the way Cruz voted to do. Do do you think Trump would vote to let obumber arm Iran? Do you think Trump would support flooding America with foreigners and amnesty seeking illegals for a few campaign dollars from the CFG and Goldman Sachs? No. Trump is by far the most conservative candidate we have had since Reagan, maybe even before that. Not perfect, but head and shoulders above the rest.

Turnout is key, just look how many (R) sat on their hands in 2012 because the candidate wasn’t “pure” enough for them. (Flame suit on).

Not even a chance of this being true.

California, New York, Maryland, and many other states are never EVER going to be won by anyone with an (R) near their name.

Either Trump or Cruz would win the presidency in a massive landslide.

No, Cruz would lose just like Romney did. Cruz betrayed his constituents on TPA and I and others will not soon forget that.

Who is “Anita Trump”?

It's just a childish name these Cruz punks came up with for Trump.

Probably not, and I love that quote from Reagan. It epitomizes much of what is wrong with politics today. Too many in politics are drawn there because of their ego. That’s absolutely the wrong motivation, and often selects for the wrong people.

I also don’t at all disagree with what you said about Reagan being a gentleman. That said, Reagan could also call people out when it was required, and wasn’t shackled by political correctness or a fear that his words were too blunt - for instance calling the Soviet Union the Evil Empire, and “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall”. He was criticized for saying bold things, and not being diplomatic enough. Another undiplomatic leader that comes to mind is Churchill. He said what he thought, and certainly wasn’t always the model of a gentleman.

I’m not trying to change your mind here, and I’m actually trying to be open minded about the candidates, as it is still early in the process. That said, this is a really important election.

Trump is not for Universal health care and you know that. But you have to lie because you got nothing else. You do know what that makes you, right?

Don't worry, already changed it. I was on the Trump bandwagon for a while, but this issue opened my eyes. He is a loose cannon. He will be whatever he needs to be when the opportunity arises. He wants the GOP nomination and knows the GOPe will never support him, so he is going after the grass roots. But after he gets elected, where will his loyalties lie?

He has supported Obama and Clinton in the past, giving them money, inviting them to his wedding....

Again, blaming the victim for not wanting to vote for the establishment rino/goper/vichy republican candidate we are to vote for because where else are you gonna go, lie back and take it.

Plenty of us voted for the asshole and look how our fuching party is now. They havent reformed anything in our favor, theyve had plenty of time, and are still only wanting to war with conservatives. Only an outsider non-establishment person can have hope to do so. When both sides of the g-d entrenched uniparty - each offering the same sh1tburger candidates - are worried you’ve got someone they consider dangerous to themselves.

I've been here longer then you and I don't claim some kind of superiority or try to belittle you because of it. That is beneath even you. Well, at least I though it was.
