This morning when I wrote about how important it is to get voters registered for the Republican primary election, I was reminded of an article at the Daily Caller by reporter Chuck Ross that I had set aside just days before Christmas.
A cabal of Muslim organizations met at the National Press Club, not to voice their sorrow over San Bernardino, but to announce they will change America at the ballot box and have launched a massive voter registration drive "to use the ballot to fight bigotry."
Here is a small portion of the Daily Caller story:
A coalition of U.S.-based Muslim groups claiming that anti-Muslim backlash is on the rise in the wake of the terrorist attacks in Paris and San Bernardino hopes to register one million people to vote before the 2016 election as part of a "civic empowerment initiative."
Oussama Jammal, the secretary general of the U.S. Council on Muslim Organizations, also announced in a press conference held Monday at the National Press Club that the group will "seek to increase emergency preparedness for Islamic institutions and individuals to address the rising number of incidents of hate crimes that are unfortunately happening nationwide."
While the press conference participants -- who hailed from such groups as the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), and the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) -- focused little attention on the recent terrorist attacks, they focused on some of the political rhetoric that has followed.
To address what they perceive as public and political backlash, the groups plan the massive Muslim voter outreach as well as a "major educational outreach" which will include a "One America" program aimed at helping non-Muslims understand Islam.
[....]
Responding to a reporter's question on the matter, Jammal said that the coalition will mobilize the Muslim community through early voting efforts and by busing and shuttling voters to polling stations.

Now go back to my post earlier this morning and do it! And, then make sure everyone you know is registered. Better still, find a voter registration drive near you and go to work!

Palestine = NO Such Place - it is a geographical name, else you are advocating the demise of Israel, which I doubt.
All talk
Forgot this “.”
It is Jordan.
What a dilemma, their other choice is a.......woman. Would’nt muslim men be humiliated by a woman president?
Jordan is a country. Palestine is not. Jordanians would be hugely insulted to learn they live in a country called Palestine.
There is not now and has never been a “Palestinian” people - they are simply migrants and descendants of migrants from Libya, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, and so on. They are considered by other Arabs as the scum of Arab society and treated as such which is why no Arab muslim country will take them in.
If there ever was created such a country through the destruction of Israel, the first thing that would happen is the surrounding Arab countries would invade, killing as many as possible, and divide the land up among themselves - and again there would be no such place as Palestine.
We know Philly's mayor ain't voting for him....
We can help thwart the Muzzies...
Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
We need to ensure we don't get another Obama-like America Hater as the next President.
The best way to ensure that is to actively support a candidate as the next President.
I donate to the candidate I support and you should too, else, your "support" really doesn't have any meaning.
It's even worse if you use FR and don't donate. If you are one of those who feel it's OK to use FR daily w/o helping pay to keep the lights on, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches because, functionally, you are no different than any other who enjoys the fruits of others' work for your own benefit. Also, don't be surprised if others decide that your opinions are as worthless as your non-donations - hypocrites aren't worth listening to.
PS - If you are one of those unlucky few who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....
They didn’t get the memo from Faux News that they shouldn’t bother attacking Trump because he can’t win.
Now you get my drift, why I call refer to Jordan as the real Palestine. Heck even their flags look the same.
Jordan is a Hashemite Kingdom, the once center of the Caliphate and guardians of the Kaaba, and is NOT Palestine, flag or no - Jordan existed long before your putative Palestinians knew or cared what a flag was.
Your drift? You have drifted beyond the reach of the rescue boats - time to start swimming.
I’ll concede their 1%...
...happily
Yep, the leaders of a false religion, prophet, and god.
Keep paddling ... :)
When the slaughter of innocents is no longer tolerated; when marriage is only between natural men and women; when immorality is no longer glorified by American leaders, then rest assured, it's not too late:
"if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
