Term limits actually donât stifle free speechIf I like my congressman, I should be able to keep my congress, your temper tantrums not withstanding. On the other hand, if you are successful in your campaign to oust said congressman, I need to accept it, right? Or should I then throw a temper tantrum and try to change the rules?

4 states have sent applications to Congress for a Convention of the States to cover these topics, as proposed by Mark Levin. They are Alaska, Florida, Alabama and Georgia.
A whole slew of states have similar applications pending in their respective state legislatures, but only 4 have gotten them through both houses and sent off to Congress.

I don’t want a constitution convention. I want an Article V convention on specific proposals. Anything more would be a disaster for America.

-— Exactly! Are you saying that it could not be hijacked by lefties and/or RINOs? -—
Yes!
What RINO amendment would pass be passed by 2/3 of the states?
As Levin says, we are currently operating extra-constitutionally, and our ONLY legislative hope is Amendments proposed by a convention of the states.

Several states, including my own South Carolina, have passed 10th Amendment Resolutions but have you seen any change? I haven't. Maybe Trump will give them a little Back Bone and encourage them to stop talking and do something. He has shown them that they can act and the world doesn't actually end when they do.

With even the SLIGHTEST opportunity for the BOR to be tampered with, along with the dem penchant for ignoring any law they don’t like anyway, I have to say that a CC would he a waste of time.

I'm hoping that Gov Abbott is calling for a Convention of States rather than a Constitutional Convention. From a quick read, it appears that several of the proposed amendments are similar to those in Mark Levin's book The Liberty Amendments.Me too.

Great ideas, yes, and from many of you, for a Convention of States. Doesn’t Abbott know the difference? A Constitutional Convention is NOT just talking about new amendments. I t is extremely dangerous in the present political climate.
Why in the world would anyone think a Con Con is a good idea, if they’ve read Matthew Bracken’s books? Amendments, yes, Con Con no.
As one poster said, “the left will just hijack it.” And as Citizen Zed said, âLeave the U.S. CONSTITUTION alone! Enforce what it says.â
I tried to clean this up to get the weird symbols out of it. Near impossible. Really tired of this!
