Obama: In Some Neighborhoods Itâs Cheaper and Easier For Kids To Get a Gun Than a Book Jenna Lifhits

In a CNN town tall special on Thursday, President Obama said that there are some neighborhoods in America where it is easier and cheaper for kids to purchase guns than books.
âPart of the reason, I think, that this ends up being such a difficult issue, is because people occupy different realities,â he said. âThere are a whole bunch of law-abiding citizens who have grown up hunting with their dad or going to the shooting range, and are responsible gun owners, and then there is the reality that there are neighborhoods around the country where it is easier for a 12 or 13-year-old to purchase a gun, and cheaper, than it is for them to get a book.â

I see in ghettos most stores are either wigs, beauty supplies, hair stylists or non-branded convenience store. At least in Tampa.
New idea for Barnes & Noble...buy a book, get a gun free...
There’s no law...criminals will be criminals ALWAYS...

Thank you typo police. That should have been ‘do with’. Tiny touchpads while cooking are to be avoided.
Since “Kids” cannot legally own guns- why are the popo not cracking down on this illegal activity.
Name them! Stupid MF’er.
Ever try to buy a textbook lately? I am not talking a self-paced training manual but a text book that has been deemed by an accredited school to teach to their students. Even Prime textbooks can be overly expensive. Now if you were referring to books like 50 Shades of Grey yeah background checks would cost more. A Deitl and Deitl textbook would set you back over 100 dollars. If you are an author, textbooks are where the money is at.
The over priced text books and n-generation of welfare ghettos are the result of DemoRAT’s policies. Don’t let anyone fool you on that.
But then again, you cannot instantaneously buy a gun with your cell phone like you can a book with a Kindle app. I do not think it is possible yet to download steel and plastic with WiFi.
Or ‘that paper,’ as Obama calls the Constitution.
South side Chicago,
Overtown
Baltimore
D.C.
Sorry, I didn’t think that my comment needed a sarcasm tag. In any place where it’s easier to buy a gun than a book, there’s no intergalactic background check required.
He is exactly right. The big problem is some people do live in different realities. The problem is, Obama’s reality is that of fiction.
You’re right - supply and demand’s a powerful reality...
