Wheaton College, an evangelical college in Illinois, had placed associate professor of political science Larycia Hawkins on administrative leave after she made a controversial theological statement on Facebook that Muslims and Christians worship the same God. The school has now begun the process to fire her due to an "impasse," it said in a statement released on Tuesday.
Hawkins, a tenured political science professor, posted on Facebook that she would wear a hijab during the Advent season in support of Muslims.
"I stand in religious solidarity with Muslims because they, like me, a Christian, are people of the book," Hawkins wrote on Facebook. "And as Pope Francis stated last week, we worship the same God."

This Wheaton professor is ignorant. I don’t think Muslims and Christians worship the same G-d. The Muslims allah (Jallah) is a rock god. That is why pagans find Islam so attractive. This evangelical college has the right to stand up against ignorance and pc nonsense.
Incidentally, the Muslims chant Allahu Akbar [my] God is greater. Even they don’t think Allah (Jallah) is the same as God.
I’m sure you’re right on that count. She’ll become a martyr and all the lefties will come running to her aid with teaching contracts, movie proposals and book deals.

Yes indeed she will become a leftist martyr. She is also a troublemaker and needs to be gotten rid of before she does more damage. I live a couple of towns away from Wheaton College. I like to take rides through the campus as it is such a lovely one; small town quaint and charm surrounds it. Wheaton College needs this activist agitator like a hole in the head.

Wasn’t Islam created by Mohammed to justify his child brides and subjugation of women and non-believers? Their symbol is the sword of death and terror, not the cross of sacrifice. Islam survives because any follower or Islamic government feels justified in killing any “apostate” who wants to be free of it.

The word “chloros” was always translated GREEN in the Bible,
until the translators came upon that word in relation to a
HORSE. So, they translated it just that time as “pale” since they reasoned that horses couldn’t possibly be green.
So, the horse is GREEN, the color of ISLAM.
A Muslim can get through "I believe in One God" before stumbling over "the Father Almighty" since Islam provides no basis for regarding God as Father, then agree again with "maker of heaven and earth and of all things visible and invisible", then will deny the rest of the Nicene Creed.
A Christian can agree that "there is no god but God" (ignoring the Mohammedan conceit that the Arabic word for God is the proper name of the One Existing God and translating all the words of the first clause of the Shahada into English and taking the words at face value), but necessarily denies that Mohammed is God's prophet (or messenger or apostle, both of which are probably better tranlations of the Arabic rasūlu).
And if one goes beyond the respective creeds and into their elaboration, the disagreements in the understanding of God become deeper -- Muslims understand the first clause of the Shahada as explicitly denying the doctrine of the Trinity and the Sonship of Jesus.
