Normally, reverberating feminist truisms would deserve neither ink nor air, but American politics is no longer normal. Donald Trump is its ringmaster now. Brash, egotistic and determined to play by no rules but his own, Trump has bulldozed the conventional understanding of how politics is to be played, what may be said and how to deal with opponents.

Cruz would need to be brutally honest with Hillary... as in the biblical advice for addressing a fool. But would he? The cultural Christian thang is to be cordial to the ladies, but when you are looking at Jezebel, that has to be abandoned.
We are in a most uncomfortable position where shiny conservative credentials are looking like they have to take a back seat to effectiveness. Cruz seems like a very reasonable peacetime president. Trump has a mind for war on whatever, as he views it, keeps America from being great.

It’s a fervent hope of mine that Hillary will be awaiting trial and unable to continue her campaign for President of the United States. Treasonist perjurers are ineligible.
I can only theorize. First, I misstated the point I was trying to make. Second, it is and has been, via many many examples, a solid American political tactic to oppose something you are in favor of; particularly if you have no constructive alternative and are going to put up a Kabuki, ineffective exercise of opposition. “Fairness”, you know. My real point is, it is not really the EC per se that favors Dems (though some much savvier than I could advance discussion as to why this may be so) it is the changing demographics of the US and the concentration of likely Dem voters in the urban areas of the larger, more EC-vote-heavy states. That is arguably a natural result of industrialization and a move away from agriculture. Finally, Dems will never get over Gore’s loss to GWBush whom they regard as the devil incarnate. The “progressives”, as usual, want to move backwards or sideways while falsely trumpeting their urge to move “forwards”.
I copied and saved that post, thank you.
Hillary has an utterly unblemished record of complete and utter failure at everything she has touched. Everything, without exception. In most cases, not just neutral failure, but a cocking-up of titanic proportions with ghastly consequences.
Sounds quite plausible.
Goes along with that fact that all federal legislation is named the exact opposite of what it is intended to do.
The “Affordable Care Act,” for instance.
You’re right about the sore-loser dynamics. Even if the sore losers would be better off to stay where they are, they won’t.
A strict popular vote would relegate the flyovers to virtual nothings, which is what these city slicks dearly want to do with the rednecks.
Things have become so eff'd up that only a flawed anti-hero can save us.
Oh my yes, the irony seems to be built into such things. These titles should all be prefaced with “Government Apparatchiks’ Hare Brained Notion Of A/An”. Want to muck up a good thing? Ask bureaucrats to meddle with it. Governments should be mostly about banning bad things, the list of which ought to be short, sweet, and clear. Only if an extensive scope of control is so badly needed that private enterprise can’t otherwise address the problem, should a government be into other matters (e.g. currency, highways, maybe large weather emergencies). Too much do-gooding decays into do-badding.
Well stated!
A movement...
Trump seems to be calling on the American people to get involved in negotiations. The hero needs to be us and the best way to get that to happen is if our hero isn’t any politician, but the good Lord who bestows wisdom without reproach.
This is the “Romney-care” purity test that got Obama re-elected. An nematode would be better than Hillary. Voting against her is the most important duty of a patriot, no matter who is her opponent. She is pure evil and you cannot say that about Trump.
A bit presumptuous of you to assume that I am not fully cognisent of that let alone may actually have a greater faith then yourself.
Won’t help all that much. For example, Jeb! Is spending a fortune and watching it be flushed down the sewer. Plus, more and more folks don’t watch commercials. With netflix it isn’t necessary.
damn spell check (cognizant)
If you had a greater faith you would have answered Amen, not bristled with an injured pride....
Wow when you put it that way it’s just mind boggeling! Cruz supporters don’t think it’s any big deal that Heidi works for Goldman. What will her recommendations and policies be?
Oh relax. It’ll probably be Trump/Cruz. :)
