Oklahoma has seemingly given Donald Trump one of his smallest leads this primary season, as he only holds a 4 point advantage over Ted Cruz.
The Republican primary campaign has effectively turned into a two man race at this point, with Marco Rubio a fairly distant 3rd place with 14% of the vote, just short of the 15% threshold required for delegate allocation. Other than Trump, Cruz, and Rubio, everyone else received a little under 20% of the total support, with 6% still undecided.

The closer they get, the more contentious the posts here become. I’d be thrilled with either one!
Trump/Cruz is 60% of the Republican vote.
Is there any reason at this point to continue shredding each other?
It’s a winning combo. Rubio is a stalking horse for the Establishment and will never get past being an electoral pest.
Carson should run for Senate. He’d be a wonderful addition to it. The others can head home, it’s over.
Cruz will end up being Barry Goldwater to The Beast’s obvious version of LBJ. So it ain’t gonna work for him. But as Veep, we have a fabulous winning ticket.
And one that will owe NOTHING to the K street hacks.
Nov Poll had 27-18 also with 14 for Rubio. Carson also 18 in that poll so Cruz got some folks leaving Carson. Not too surprised also at this being that Oklahoma is next door to Texas.
Oh Noes
But the tables will be turned when he has to explain his support for Obama in 09 and his statements that his economic policy was sound and he saved us from another Great Depression.
Saying Hillary was a great Sec of State will also be hard to explain away.
This is going to get interesting.
Ping!
TRUMP/CRUZ
Close to my neck of the woods :)
That equates to a win for Trump. :-)
One thing that LBJ had going for him in 1964 (besides the daisy-picking girl that was obliterated by a nuclear weapon) was the fact that Barry Goldwater ended up not running against LBJ, but against the ghost of John F. Kennedy.
No Republican could have won that election in those circumstances. Martyrdom has its political advantages, even if it is a little hard on the martyr.
How does Mario Rubco still get 14%?
Are there that many low information voters who don’t know he wants to give away the country t illegal aliens and their employers?
“Is there any reason at this point to continue shredding each other?”
As long as the Cruz people keeping calling us “fake conservatives”, Trumpanzees”, Trump Tramps”, Trumpettes”, and saying that we are just enamored with a “carnival barker” because we liked his old reality show, then that is why you have so much of it. They have become the more arrogant snobs as of 2 months ago and frankly it’s souring us to any possibility of actively considering the idea of Cruz, if he is the nominee, of doing much more than wishing them the best of luck and watching them collapse and burn going up against the left.
I think Cruz as VP will create a dominating ticket though. It will build the needed coalition to go against the Gimmies that will rally around Hillary or Sanders.
Yeah,....he should fit right in
How many votes does it take to win? Just one more than the next guy.
One can never underestimate the number of low information voters, a term coined by none other than Rush Limbaugh.
By the way, Wesley Pruden in his column has a new term for Mr. and Mrs. Bill, and it’s hilarious: Bonnie and Clod!
People in MD don’t like Republicans in the U.S. Senate, even soft-spoken ones.
Also, Trump should realize, you want your VP to be further from the center than you are. It discourages your political enemies from trying to take you out!
Oklahoma always goes to the most conservative. Cruz will take Ok.
GO.TRUMP.GO!!! ALL THE WAY TO THE OVAL OFFICE!!!
It’s what’s left of the GOPe coalescing around their guy!
LOL! VP? LOL
AG at minumum
