Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) tells his volunteers about the need to energize and mobilize Christians.
"If we awaken and energize the body of Christ - if Christians and people of faith come out and vote our values - we will win and we will turn the country around," Cruz told volunteers on a conference call Tuesday.
Cruz also said that he is organizing a coalition of pastors in early states including Iowa and South Carolina. "We're working to have a lead pastor in each of the 99 counties in Iowa, 99 pastors are organizing other pastors," Cruz said. "We're doing the same thing in South Carolina, organizing pastors in 46 counties to motivate and organize other pastors." Cruz warned that, as the election nears, the attacks on his campaign will become more vicious. "I want to tell everyone to get ready, strap on the full armor of God, get ready for the attacks that are coming," he warned. "Come the month of January we ainât seen nothing yet."

But Trump said he was a Christian and had strong support among Christians.
So was Trump wrong to say that?
Should Christians be ignored by Trump then
Christians...bake that cake for the gays...that’s the way to get Democrats voters for Trump...
;-D
Well I’m pretty sure he nuked Sodom and Gomorrah.
And when he comes again and slaughters the rebels the Bible says that the blood will run as deep as the bridal of a horse.
The only difference is this... He is God and whatever he decides to do is right.
He is no longer the baby in a manger.
In the Old Testament just one of his angels slaughtered 186,000 Assyrians and he did it in less than 8 hours. When it comes to shedding blood God Almighty is not squeamish. We are in a season of grace and mercy but it won’t last forever.
So I think that your “no nukes Jesus” meme is off track.
So do you.
Says the guy whose tag line calls Freepers stupid.
You’re on the right track, God bless you.
Book marking for later.
Mail.
In his defense (Cruz is not my first choice), it is a primary, not the general yet.
This reminds me a a story Tommy Lasorda tells. He was batting against a pitcher that made the sign of the cross before he started to pitch to each batter. Lasorda got up and after the pitcher blessed himself, Lasorda bless himself and yelled out to the pitcher “Even He can’t help both of us!”
If you don’t think God rained down death and destruction on his enemies you need to re-read the Bible.
God forbid that a Christian comstitutionalist conservative be marginalized people who claim to be the same.
Cruz would bring all the best of America back to the White House.
The tone and content of the anti-Cruz sentiment at FR is surprising and resembles comments one might find on a leftist website.
Along those lines, where does Trump stand on same sex “marriage? â
Ted Cruz is a southern baptist. I have neighbors who are true dominionists, and there is no similarity. Our constitutional republic is not sustainable in a militantly secularist context. The whole of western civilization is predicated on natural law as given by our Creator and discoverable by reason. That is not dominionism. It is the beating heart of the American experiment. Cruz is right to focus on it.
Peace,
SR
You know if you are offended by Cruz talking to his “volunteers” in this manner...
You are probable on the wrong website!
As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc. We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. We believe in defending our borders, our constitution and our national sovereignty.
Cruz’s remarks about the body of Christ are labeled “offensive”, and in post #71, he is called “the Christian taliban.”
And not a single Trump supporter objects.
Every day I receive confirmation that backing Cruz is the right thing to do.
Correction-—post 76, not 71.
Indeed...those who are only conservative during the campaign season need not apply.
