GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump said Monday that former President Bill Clinton has a "terrible record of women abuse."
"If Hillary thinks she can unleash her husband, with his terrible record of women abuse, while playing the women's card on me, she's wrong!" he tweeted, citing Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton and her spouse.
Trump's comments mark the latest escalation of his war of words with the Clinton family over gender and sexism.
He previously accused Bill Clinton of having sexist tendencies last weekend after reports emerged that the former president plans on campaigning with his wife next year. "Hillary Clinton has announced that she is letting her husband out to campaign, but he's demonstrated a penchant for sexism - so inappropriate!" he tweeted last Saturday.

I think it was a dumb statement.I have 3 beautiful daughters.One was a lead singer.One hosted her own TV show but the youngest is a ten that has always attracted the most attention.She did a little TV but had no interest.My husband and I were used to going out with her and coming back to the car with notes from guys stuck under the windshield wipers.Waiters would serve us our check with a note for her etc.Never in a thousand years would my husband or her 3 brothers make that statement.It’s disrespectful.I was shocked when I read it years ago.That being said Trump has every right to go after Bill Clinton’s history with women.I can say it will not help him.The democratic women that I know feel sorry for Hillary because she went through this.I think Trump should stick with the jobs issue.

As I stated earlier, I am not a Trump supporter, and yes, I stand by what I said. Perhaps he shouldn’t have used the word “hot” to describe her, or stupid to describe Jeb; but in today’s world we are so frightened of using the wrong word or making an incorrect gesture...I admire his courage to use the language he chooses, he is brave enough not to succumb to parsing every word he says..that is refreshing.
