Ted Cruz is just like his clothes: carefully thought out, ill-fitting and unlikable (barf alert!)
The Guardian ^ | Wednesday 23 December 2015 | Cindy Casares

He's not 'one of the guys' on the trail, but he also didn't seem to belong in the Ivy League - or even among politicos

The weather has finally cooled a bit, and that can only mean one thing: time for Ted Cruz to dump his ill-fitting suits and ties for his even iller-fitting collection of flannel shirts and leather jackets. The #Cruz Country Christmas Tour (in a private jet) is under way and headed to a town near you.

Why does the Texas senator lumberjack around America when the temperature drops? Is he trying to create synergy with the cover of his latest book?

That's possible, but the real reason Ted Cruz wears flannel shirts and leather jackets in the winter is because he wants nothing more than to be perceived as one of the guys. Not just because it could win him the White House, but because he's always been that kid in school that had no friends. The one whose parents made him insufferable by constantly telling him how much better he is than everyone else.

Cruz's father, Rafael, has been brainwashing his son since he was about four years old to believe he's "gifted above any man he knows" and "destined by God for greatness", the kinds of delusions that were guaranteed to get him stuffed in a locker by junior high.

Unfortunately, training to become Daddy's little messiah didn't leave Cruz time to develop even the slightest sense of style, and GQ has some stern fashion advice for him.

"In general, we're not exactly sure why presidential hopefuls think that oversized, awkward leather jackets will make them seem more, 'relatable to voters'," the website said on Tuesday.

Cruz does score higher in certain categories than Trump. However, Trump does seem to be moving more towards the Right over the years.

But Trump is a communicator not unlike Reagan and like Reagan has the capacity to energize a wide voting base and I think Trump, not Cruz, will skewer Hillary.

A Trump nomination has a very good chance of a Trump presidency. With TRUMP/CRUZ we could be looking at sixteen years of recovery in America with Cruz finishing at least the foundational recovery work that Trump will have started (putting in place those bullet points he has that Trump doesn’t for instance).

A Cruz nomination, on the other hand, has a good chance of handing the presidency over to Hillary, and Trump would not accept the #2 job of VP because he’s always been in charge and he would go back to running his business which he prefers. So even if somehow Cruz overcame whatever are his shortcomings to beat Hillary, the recovery period would have a good chance of stopping after Cruz’s term.

As far as Mark Levine goes, he seems to hit hit the right notes most of the time, but the guy seems sour and unhappy - not a very good advertisement for whatever he’s selling.

Cruz just announced he will not accept any vice-presidency on any ticket.

"Anyone who thinks Ted Cruz is “femme” is a damned fool and a liar, and ought to be ashamed"

I'm not ashamed and I'm not a fool.

There are many men who agree with me.

So, that means I'm not a liar either.

What else you got?

Honestly, he's the typical p*ssy who got pantsed in the hallway of high school.

That said, I would vote for him if he got the nomination.

But, let's not be delusional about his manliness.

We need President who will preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States NOW, not 9 years from now.

Ted Cruz will beat Hillary with class.

So was this article written by a leftist hack or a Trump supporter? It's hard to tell the difference out here

That's unfair. Leftist hacks don't want to build a wall, send home those who are here illegally, have US jobs for US workers (instead of lousy trade deals and H1B visa workers). Cruz, we're not so sure about on those issues.

"he's the typical p*ssy who got pantsed in the hallway of high school."

Spoken out of sheer ignorance of Cruz's teenaged years, and I suspect more than a bit of first-hand knowledge about being pantsed and possibly slammed into lockers.

Funny, I haven't heard a single redneck country guy around here offer that opinion. Cruz is well-liked and respected in this rural farming area.

They're not fool enough to confuse some loud, yelling, tomato-faced, funnel-mouthed, insecure penthouse dweller with masculinity.

Correct.

I used to protect the p*ssies and dorks from such a fate.

I found the girls like that.

I like Cruz, but there's no denying he's a bit of a dork and more femme than many men are comfortable with.

Look, I know it's Christmas but you really are going to have to go a bit easy on the booze. You are living in an alternate reality, loony left, Trumpbot world. Ted Cruz is a heck of a lot more masculine than the loud mouth bloviator you worship.

I'm wearing a flannel shirt right now. No ugly sweater for me this year - too warm.

On Monday, when I return to work, my suit is going to be loose-fitting. It appears I've lost 20 pounds since Thanksgiving.

Sorry sir, but I worship none of them.

And I don't drink on Christmas.

Groan!
As expected, the usual nasty looking, far left feminazi with a laughable sense of fashion. Probably swoons over the bisexual, effeminate, Barack Obama, and has thrown her panties at him when no one was looking.

Looks like he recently lost a lot of weight. But that wouldn’t make his arms longer.

Shallow people use shallow criteria and you’re spot on; Obama was “clean and articulate”.

I was listening to Ted Cruz on Mark Levin.

I like almost everything about Ted Cruz. He’s a hero. But his NASAL VOICE is an instrument of torture. It’s like a dentist’s drill. I can see it losing him tens of millions of votes either because people won’t listen to him, or will decide they won’t be able to stand hearing that voice daily for four years.

I wish SOMEBODY with access to Cruz could get him to work on that awful nasal sound.

I’ve heard that voice all over Texas, and it probably sounds more normal to Texans. I find it unbearable.

IIRC, those in the know said that Stevenson, like FDR, never read a book.
