A Delaware man prohibited from possessing deadly weapons is accused of carrying eight guns and three crossbows while hunting near Delmar in southern Delaware.

Fish and Wildlife Natural Resources Police arrested 36-year-old Robert Evans earlier this month while he was deer hunting near the state's southern border in Delmar. Due to a prior incident, Evans faces 11 counts of possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited.

Yeah.

The Fish and Wildlife “police” were afraid he would trip and scare the deer while carrying 11 weapons in the woods.

Write the law the “right” way and everybody violates it.

The gun grab is underway.
Why do people keep bragging online about how many guns they have?
(I know, I know. Tragic boating accident.)

“Another nothing agency with more firepower and authority to eff up your life than ever before.”

My personal favorite are the animal police. Speeding across town with lights and sirens, running red lights, to investigate a case of malnourished cats.

If only there were more Sheriff Taylor's and less Barney Fife's.

Delaware is so small I’m surprised he could find a safe place to shoot without someone being in range.

Unfort., that can’t be blamed on the FEDERAL govt.

So much for ‘better control over LOCAL govt’...

As a ‘prohibited’ person, he can therefor no longer hunt? Else, what is he to use to take down game, his bare hands? A blowgun? Maybe a boomerang?

It makes calling it a ‘police State’ more applicable.

“Write the law the “right” way and everybody violates it.”

***********************************

“There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted and you create a nation of law-breakers — and then you cash in on guilt. Now that’s the system.”

Yeah. I saw that. A local state agency.

Not enough that we have to worry about FEDGOV agencies like the EPA and even the USDA having fully automatic weapons, we also have local yokels with totalitarian powers.

The deer were perfectly safe with him struggling to lug all that through the woods.

Being a Delaware native, IIRC you can only hunt black powder and shotgun in Delaware due to the low lying hills and small spaces.

He needs to be charged with humping too much gear. Maybe the deer in Delaware are slow like Joe Biden, but around here they wouldn’t stick around while someone bumbles through 8 guns and 3 crossbows.

Yeah, but I expect as much from NJ.

IMO, Sandy didn’t do enough cleansing as I had hoped. Damn shame too. Aside from Philly, Trenton was the home of my LEGAL immigrant g-mother from the time off the boat until death many years ago.

Actually, it reduced duplication, graft positions, and silly power grabs. If the State Cops are knocking on your door in MA you have bigger issues.
