“Scottish minister Humza Yousaf”
Says it all. The weird hard leftist country of Scotland. They have created this mess as much as anyone.
Scottish minister Humza Yousaf....

I wonder what that clan’s tartan looks like....
Way to save money, you thrift Scots - while spending the money you do no have on people who do not appreciate the expenses ... and very likely will try to convert you, or make you a dhimmi, or just kill you out of frustration over your total lack of doing what they tell you to do.
Let's send ours to Attu.
1. Any Scot worth a sh*t left at a minimum two generations ago and headed for Australia, Canada or the US.
2. The rise in church attendance as a result of this influx of Muslims will be... unmeasurable.
3. The idea of conservative politics is negligible. There is no Tory party presence, or anything remotely approaching what Adam Smith would recognize as capitalist.
Scotland gets what it deserves. Newton wrote every action creates an equal and opposite reaction. That’s the best you can hope for. Sadly.
Sounds familiar to what goes on here in the US. The “refugees” with their iPhones and nice clothes are given nicer living conditions and free stuff than the locals can afford, there is a code of silence with the enforcers so that the locals don’t know what going on, and dissent is called “racism”.
Check, check, check.
And SOMEONE is profiting nicely from the payments to take them.
I just spent a good ten minutes struggling with this clue: “Scottish island with peculiar trait, as characteristic”.
If I had been reading FR instead, I probably would have seen the answer instantly (it’s ‘attribute’).
Wait, what? What clan does he belong to?
Seems like the West is in a contest to prove to the world each is the most stupidly governed country.
Because, despite public non-support, some (not all) Scottish councils decided to play aren’t-we-PC-wonderful, and tell the Scots govt they’d take some of the refugees.
In my neck of the woods, with 3 local councils, two said yes, one said no.
I opposed the refugees, but don’t think 15 families will ruin what is a lovely island. Besides they are whining about the weather already and will probably ask to go to S England/London, or go home. I hope.
I have nothing against genuine refugees, and am proud that the UK has taken in many over the years, from 1930s Jews to 1990s Bosnians. Its the security concern that worries me. And more strain on UK resources.
