The Legacy Lives On!

Conservatism is the antidote to tyranny precisely because its principles are the founding principles. --Mark Levin in Liberty and Tyranny
Welcome to The Levin Lounge Step in and have a virtual FRink.
Welcome all, to the most FUN LIVE THREAD on FreeRepublic.com!
You can call Marks show: 1-877-381-3811
I guess people can't listen to his show if their preferred candidate isn't the one he might support? Are they that sensitive that they'll take their ball and go home?
I would say Rush and Mark are in the tank.
For conservative principles and ideas.
I would say they pick and choose their conservative principles and ideas. And they both have considerable degenerative blind spots when it comes to Cruz.
Being conservative also means weighing the facts on the scale of what is best for America, not a certain politician who they think is the second coming.
“
“Levin needs to stop pretending to be impartial and just come out and endorse Cruz. Levin calls everyone out for everything, but heâs so in the tank for Cruz itâs ridiculous. But you see Levin canât do that because he needs a listening audience thatâs not just Cruz supporters. So if Levin was intellectually honest with himself and his listeners heâd just endorse Cruz.”
Agreed.
However, as a Trump supporter I’m concerned about the ethanol and Scalia missteps this weekend. I need to do some study, I don’t know enough to voice a proper opinion.
I work on a 3 strikes you’re out candidate scoring. Trump’s not there yet. Cruz passed it long ago. I’m not a bit afraid of throwing both of them to the curb when they earn it.
It doesn’t seem to me that either one of them have a blind spot for Cruz. I’ve heard both, particularly Rush, go on at length about Trump in a very positive light.
Now I don’t listen to all their shows, sometimes just a snippet, so it’s my impression only.
I’d be blown away if Levin hadn’t been critical of things Trump said this weekend.
Leaving Cruz out ...the ethanol and Scalia comments were not coming from a conservative view. Now, we all know Trump isn’t a conservative, and I don’t think he’s even liberal. I think he’s a pragmatist.
Levin——Don’t fall for the trick. (Lame Stream Media trying to create a narrative to have Trump fight Cruz, etc.)
Then Mark falls for the trick.
I would like to anyone of us put in the hours with the media that Trump is without stepping in it more than once.
I remember the attacks in Paris prevented Mark from making a fool of himself coming to the defense of Carson over Trump.
Iâd be blown away if Levin hadnât been critical of things Trump said this weekend.

Thanks for the comment but I can't debate this. You think Trump is a pragmatist, I think Trump is someone who is spending a lot of money, IOW, putting his cash where his mouth is, and self funding. I also think he is paying a large price for his campaign. This just the latest:
Trump's Turnberry will no longer be allowed to host the British Open...
http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/golf/report-trump-turnberry-to-no-longer-host-british-open/ar-BBnvno2?ocid=spartandhp
The 'insider' who gave the media Cruz quotes from a private fundraiser supposedly has more quotes coming soon. Likely, the media have other spies and other inside info.
If Cruz is turning moderate in the fundraisers, that is going to tarnish his conservative credentials. How many other Republicans have run on claims of being conservative only to turn moderate as soon as they crossed the Potomac? Answer: Most of the Republicans on Capitol Hill.
Thank you, Mr. Guy, your post was very heartening. Say every single thing you want about Trump, every single thing in the world. He says what he believes whether he's in public or behind closed doors. Closed doors - that's where the dirty gets done. Seems to me that's what Cruz trafficks in.
Completely understand! I don’t venture too much into debating anyway..we all have particular things that really matter to us in election season, I try to respect that.
When the voting actually starts, one has to consider the pros and cons, negatives and positives, of their selectee(s) and make a determination.
Being humans, none will score 100%. Most will probably not score 60%.
Which negatives and positives hold the most weight in the decision? What is one’s own litmus test of items?
I love Mark Levin, and he’s right Trump stepped it in this weekend...
But to do what Levin is doing tonight is a big misstep. I think Rush was much more level in his criticism of Trump... Tonight this isn’t critique, this is attack.
Levin needs to be honest and just come out with it; He’s a Cruz guy. Nothing wrong with that, just be straight with us and cut the crap.
I started listening to the Levin show today after Savage ended, but I am going to boycott the Levin show today. I don’t want to hear 3 hours of attack Trump on ethanol. To quote Levin, Trump “is not a special pleader” for ethanol subsidies or affirmative action. Trump never said anything about subsidies. But he is ok with it. Same with affirmative action. There are bigger fish to fry and Levin is missing the point or is just a big Cruz guy after all.
I support trump as well as Cruz, and I listened closely to Mark’s program today.
I think his analysis of Trump’s remarks were spot on. I believe that Trump would benefit greatly by taking Mark’s advice or even his angry lecture to Trump, if that is an accurate way to characterize what he said today, to heart.
Trump’s remarks on Cruz came from a direction that won’t benefit him, IMO. Maybe I’m wrong, but I think he needs to think hard on which is the best direction to come from.
No one wants to “work” with the Democrats or the damned GOP. Both of them SUCK.
All that said, I still support Trump and Cruz. Both are fine men and flawed men.
As a person who supports trump, I believe Mark’s show today is worth listening to.
He was fair, and he gave Trump good advice.
It wasn’t just a hack and slash on Donald.
Ok. I’ll listen to it later. Thanks.
Good post.
Looks like I’ll have see how the Mark Levin app works for the drive home.
