You have cost your candidate donations.

Donations he evidently needs since I receive multiple emails a day begging for more.

Cruz has exactly 3 friends in senate who back his bills. He is the least popular senator! Not only that, Cruz is actually despised by majority of republican senators. It is laughable to assume Cruz would get best cooperation from congress.

I don't want someone that gets along with this type of Congress. I want someone that gets along with people like Senator Shelby and not with McCain. Funny how some of these Senators will change their tune to elbow up to power. Besides.. there is an old Bible verse.

Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for that is how their fathers treated the false prophets. - Luke 6:26 NIV

The biggest thing Trump had going for him was the belief that he was the only one who could defeat Hillary.

And he has been at the low end of all Republican candidates Vs. Hillary polls. I think Cruz could take her out on issues without making her a sympathetic figure. Trump on the other hand, would have a real problem, especially with female voters.

Check which categories Trump leads in though.

I would not be so quick.

What goes up must come down.

And Cruz will begin to go down.

Cruz has been setup by this liberal rag newspaper for a fall.

You have cost your candidate donations.

From you? You already said you aren't donating to him. If you think my words are so powerful as to sway the masses as to who get donations I guess I will join the Freepathon threads in the 2016 first quarter. But alas no one seems to think I have that gravitas but you.

What a silly comment. The paper is very left wing so I don’t think they like Cruz much better.

So you are a statistician now? A sample size of 400 is more than sufficient, especially in a statewide poll.

Wow. From my perspective you have this situation sized up exactly backwards.

Like being the candidate most likely to get his ass handed to him when the Clinton Machine begins to actually run a campaign?

That is the correct way to play it. You appear humble and lower expectations. Cruz is an excellent politician, which is why he will probably win.

I think this poll’s aim is to discourage Trump who, constantly reveling in his lead in the polls, is perceived to be likely to fold when he gets significantly behind in any of them; ergo, a poll conveniently showing him significantly behind.

Absurd. Trump is not going to be put off by a poll, any poll. Neither would Ted Cruz if the polling had the reverse result. Both will carry their cases to the people as they should, and one will have the victory.

Until February first this is all just gutter sniping crap.

I did donate to him even after I switched to Trump.

I stopped donating to him last month when I finally had enough of you and your friends snark.

Why should I give money to your candidate only to have you totally trash mine?

Maybe I'm a troll. Maybe I trashed Trump to get you to stop contributing to Cruz. Do you really know who I am? Do you really know who Trump is? One man's trash is another man's treasure.

It’s amazing to me how much ignorance is on display on this thread.

First who cares if the poll was published in the Des Moines Register? They didn’t conduct the poll. They didn’t determine its outcome. they merely published the results.

Second, this poll was conducted by the Ann Selzer group. They have NEVER missed correctly predicting the outcome of the Iowa caucuses. That doesn’t mean it can’t happen, but it does mean that they are applying a robust methodology, and the poll is NOT bogus or manipulated.

Third, wish-thinking is not an effective predictor of outcomes, as anyone who has spent time at the roulette tables can attest.
