Former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge said Friday that he would not support Donald Trump as Republican presidential nominee — and that "a real possibility" existed that he might not vote at all in next year's election if that is the case.
"I think he is an embarrassment to the party," Ridge, who became the nation's first secretary of Homeland Security under President George W. Bush in 2003, told Neil Cavuto on Fox News. "If he is the man who has the votes, then that's the way it will be."
But when asked whether he would support the billionaire developer, Ridge said: "No. I can't vote for Donald Trump."
For Democrat Hillary Clinton?
"No," he replied. "I couldn't do that either. I know I can't support Donald for a variety of reasons."
"What does Tom Ridge do?" Cavuto asked. "Don't vote at all?"
"A real possibility," the former governor said. "It would be tough for me … , but I don't think Donald Trump will get the nod."

I don’t know what it is with the Republicans anymore. They attack people from their own party-you never hear the democrats do that. Ridge was the big fat dope who came up with the color coded threat “system” after 9-11. He thought nail clippers were a terrorist threat too.
When pro-abort Tom Ridge was running for Governor of Pennsylvania, Republicans were told, “Ignore the fact that he’s pro-abortion. All that matters is that he’s Republican.”
When the horrors of the Kermit Gosnell slaughterhouse were exposed, one fact that came out was that as of the day Tom Ridge was sworn in as Governor, inspections of abortion mills CEASED.
Who the hell is interested in anything Tom says?
Tom who? Oh, the guy history forgot since he was invisible and no accomplishments were ever accomplished other than the warming of the earth due to his tremendous reserves of hot gas coming out of his mouth.
I desperately want Cruz to win, he’d be the best thing we’ve seen since Reagan and it feels like our last shot at saving our country.
That said, Ridge is a moron if he refuses to vote for Trump if Trump is the Republican candidate. I’ll hold my nose and vote for Trump because the lesser of two evils is LESS EVIL.
Thank you for your support of Ted Cruz, the only conservative in the race. I, too, have donated to the Cruz campaign and will do so again today as he fights all liberal attacks against him.
That does it, if good old Tom won’t vote for him, neither will I.
I might give a politician my vote. But I would NEVER give him my money.
