Nonsense. I stated a fact.

I prefer Cruz but if Trump or Rubio get the nomination I will vote for them.

It is conveniently ignored here, for the most part, that Trump endorsed Romney. People here were banned for supporting Romney.

He could, though I suspect there will be more than one round. Polls don’t necessarily reflect votes months down the road. I acknowledge I prefer Cruz, formerly preferred Walker, but Trump by virtue of his no nonsense statements is a potentially volatile candidate. Either direction.

Cruz has defended Trump and stayed away from attacking him more than anyone else in the race. Anyone who thinks Cruz has anything major against Trump is dreaming.

If Trump has more delegates than Cruz but not enough to win outright, I believe Cruz would accept a V.P. slot in exchange for combining their delegates.

Cruz and his wife are smart people who have no trouble buttering their own bread in the private sector or high-level cabinet positions. Heidi has a successful career in business handling investments for high-value clients. I bet you only wish you were as successful as her. Cruz has been a Senator for less than 1-term...not anything close to a “career politician.” Term limits wouldn’t even kick in for him yet if they existed.

People were banned for supporting Romney in the primary, not after he won the nomination. It all depends how early he endorsed Romney.

People were banned after he got the nomination. Then it changed.

Someone needs to get memo to the political good ol boys. This isn’t 1965. The Trump voters in 2015 America won’t miss nor choose to ignore the business as usual political corruption.

Those days are long over.

LOL, since when does corruption get you social conservative winners that the GOP elite would never support for the nomination?

I disagree. Most of the republicans who vote will vote for the republican nominee just because they are the republican. That is how we get the McConnells and Corkers.

Then there are the cross-over voters Trump will get. I think he will get Reagan democrats as well as many minority votes because of is stand against illegal immigration and the economy.

Add to that, a lot of democrats will stay home because they are not excited about Hillary.

Iowa is only the 40th most corrupt state when measured by convictions per capita.

When they pick someone totally losing in the polls when compared to the massive historic American support for Trump.

This is not complex.

The same thing happened against Reagan in 1980 with John Anderson, a RINO Republican.

You think the Republican Party offered up as an independent candidate a now former GOP congressman who supported Jimmy Carters grain embargo, me too but not the GOP, and ran with a Democrat governor? Amongst the people Reagan defeated, Robert Dole, John Connally, Howard Baker, George H. W. Bush. And what makes you think Reagan wasn't supported by the GOP? Lots of Anderson's support came from liberals who hated Carter, Israel and Iran were factors, but wouldn't vote for a Republican.

Thanks. I can’t listen to Levin right now.

I hope I can find a podcast later.

I forgot about the “superdelegates”. Now you have me worried.

Who chooses the “Superdelegates”? Is there any chance that they are just GOPe chosen votes for Bush?

In any case, I fully expect that Trump + Cruz will have more than half the delegates. Maybe way more than half.
********************************************************************************
I certainly hope so. But the scheming of the GOPe types can’t be overlooked or ignored. It’s the main reason I hate to see ANY attacks of Trump and/or his supporters by Cruz supporters and ANY attacks of Cruz and/or his supporters by Trump supporters. Such attacks can only benefit the RINO establishment and RINO candidates in the race.

Cruz is the guy picked by the GOP to be the” conservative” candidate that will appeal for party unity for Bush.

I predict Trump will still out maneuver these GOP clowns at their convention, and being the spineless that they are, they’ll fold like cheap suits(sorry for the cliche). It’s in their nature.

I would rather have a brokered system anyway. It’s more ‘Republic’ which is what we are. It ensures that at the least, we get a consensus candidate that the majority in the party can support.

I agree, though I'd prefer voters to the party. And I suspect negotiated would be a better term than brokered. No real actual votes can be ignored any more, it's not 1860

Apparently there are some on here who want Hillary elected, too. They keep saying if you vote for Trump you’re voting for Hillary. That wouldn’t be the case if they’d just vote for Trump instead of the gopE.
