I have decided to postpone my trip to Israel and to schedule my meeting with @Netanyahu at a later date after I become President of the U.S.
[Trump would have Secret Service as well as Israeli government security protection.]
Trump is smart not to go anywhere near the Middle East and I would question the ‘quality’ of Secret Service agents 0 has assigned to him.
Let’s face it, if they can’t get rid of him through current means, they’ll use the Final Solution.
These days it appears that it would be appropriate to question the quality of Secret Service agents period, but what about Israeli security? You don't think they know what they're doing?
Let's face it, if they can't get rid of him through current means, they'll use the Final Solution.
Not a choice of words I'd use when dealing with a trip to Israel, but I digress. I think it's more likely that this is a repeat of the "100 Black pastors endorsement" fiasco of last week. Trump over-spoke and things fell through.
Good!
I hate to go off the deep end. Bibi just stabbed The Donald in the back. Maybe Israel is getting Isis oil.
Me, to. I was trying to figure out what his motive was. Not sure, really.
I am Jewish and this is fine by me. There are lots of Isreal haters out there THUS Trump will lose votes by seeming too pro-Israel. Its enough for me that he is coming down on hard on Muslims.
Sucking up to Israel will hurt Trump! Among Democrats and many others, ever right wingers, who are inclined to vote for Trump.
After the election Trump will be a good friend of Israel. I have zero doubt of this!!!!
This isn’t the first time Bibi has appeared weak. Bibi seems to be all about Bibi. I was a big fan but no more.
Not Smart BiBi. You advocate for strong screening against those who practice Sharia— which is essentially the same as Trump.
Netanyahu was getting heat.
Hmm. I don’t like this. It’s part of a troubling pattern on his Middle East positions.
Okay. Apparently Bibi did or said something that I’m unaware of. My apologies for my uninformed comment.
If you'd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.

Not sure why this is Netanyahu's fault. The only statement I've seen from the Prime Minister's office is that the Prime Minister will meet with any US candidate of either party who travels to Israel.
Obama's trip to Berlin in 2008 was very suspicious.
Well, I have no doubt this is Bibi’s doing. It’s not like Trump at all. Notice too that Trump made it clear that they weren’t rescheduling either. If he becomes President, he’ll make a state visit but that’s it. Bibi has to have asked that he stay away. I think that’s unfortunate. However, at the same time, Bibi is the head of a country with a 20% Muslim population that is currently outraged about Trump’s comments. I’m sure a lot of domestic pressure has been put on him. This trip doesn’t mean all that much to Trump, but maybe it could have been very damaging to Bibi’s political situation.
What would you have him say? The fires of war are swirling like a wildfire through dry brush. Bombs and missiles are whirling through the air like falling angels and some most assuredly are violating his airspace.
If he thinks that distancing himself and Israel from Trump with a few words we may disagree with buys him some more safe time in that tinderbox...I for one am more than willing to cut him some slack.
After the way he and Israel have been treated by the leadership of the United States in recent times he can only rely on his own survival instincts in matters like this when asked to respond from the press.
And who can blame him?
I'll give the Israeli leadership a pass on this one.
‘CAUSE THEY EARNED IT!!!
JMHO Jedi. Trump and Bibi can exchange encrypted messages anyway.
SO LIGHTEN UP FRANCIS !!!!
I’m disappointed with Bibi, too.
He should have just kept his mouth shut and not commented on U.S. internal political affairs.
“So it makes Trump look better to say that the leader of America’s strongest ally is going to meet with him, and the change and say he’s not? Really?”
Strong allies don’t tell us that we shouldn’t control who comes into our country.
Might have something to do with Trump’s refusal to commit to Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel.
I seriously doubt that. The meeting for Dec. 28 was still on for a week after Trump said that about Jerusalem. This was, I think rather obviously, about the backlash from Trump’s Muslim entry ban proposal. Netanyahu was taking too much heat about it, and almost certainly asked Trump not to come. Trump doesn’t back away from his plans like this on his own accord.
