If anything, Trump’s proposal has provided a clear means for all of us to see who are the real sheep in this country willing to sit back and let the wolves loose, unchecked and hungry for carnage.
The feigned horror at Trump’s comment (which when read in full isn’t unreasonable at all) is to force his supporters into the closet; they are trying to stifle his ground game with a strategy to shame/intimidate his fans to stop advocating for him.

That is a very valuable side effect, isn’t it? His real purpose is to open negotiations on the subject.
One side has already opened with “muzlums everywhere, with more entering the country every day!”
The traditional GOP response to the Proggie first offer is, “wellll, we don’t like that but we’re afraid to fight you so OK.”
The Trump response is, “how about no muzlums anywhere? Now, let’s get serious about making a deal.”
The Proggies have been so accustomed to GOP just “assuming the position” of subservience for so long that Trump has their heads exploding.
And the elitists are outraged that someone actually wants to fight back.
World history should've taught these enablers something important. That would be if you're over-run, you lose.
