Donald Trump wants to ban Muslims from entering the United States? Well, it turns out lots of Britons want to ban him from the United Kingdom.

Trump detractors across the pond have started an online petition on an official government website asking British officials to block the GOP presidential front-runner from visiting. "The signatories believe Donald J. Trump should be banned from UK entry," the petition reads.

"The UK has banned entry to many individuals for hate speech. The same principles should apply to everyone who wishes to enter the UK," the petition says. "If the United Kingdom is to continue applying the 'unacceptable behaviour' criteria to those who wish to enter its borders, it must be fairly applied to the rich as well as poor, and the weak as well as powerful."

By early Tuesday evening Eastern Standard Time, the petition was rapidly gaining signatures, already surpassing the minimum 10,000 signatures needed to get a formal response from the British government.

The UK has banned Commentators for anti-Muslim hate-speech. I don’t know whether Savage was one of them or not. I think Pamela Geller may have been as well.

But those were easy targets. Trump is anthing but. Trying to ban him is only going to give him another issue and make him stronger. But since the banning precedent has been set with lesser political figures, refusing to ban him is really going to tick off the Brit snowflakes demanding it.

I am no denier, I try to give a balanced view as an ACTUAL BRIT, on these pages. None of the UK freepers here deny that we have a serious islam problem, but the idea Muslims run the UK or even close to it is a nonsense. Most Americans don’t come here and will get their ideas of the UK from places like this, Trump, Fox News etc, in other words US media from 3000 miles away.

There are towns and cities where there are sizeable communities, by there are still great chunks of England and the UK where you see few non-white faces. Or none. Just as I am sure you could take me to parts of the US with few or no blacks, Hispanics. Or take me to areas where we whiteys would stand out. Americans need to take the UK as a whole and stop thinking London equals the UK, as if NY equals the USA.

London?. Firstly dark face dosent equal Muslim. We have a sizeable Sikh and Hindu population, as well as a large black British community. Yes, there are ethnic parts of the city, but then that’s a city. London has always been a mix: blacks, Chinese, Jews, Irish, Poles, and since the 50s the groups I mentioned above plus Muslims. Muslims have been in the UK for 60 years and were fine for 35-40 yrs until the Satanic Verses controversy and then the ignored radicalisation in the 90s.
