Plurality of voters now say national security issues are their top concern as they consider their options in next yearâs elections â and those voters overwhelmingly say they plan to vote Republican.
Snip
Security issues, in the wake of terror attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, Calif., are giving Republicans a clear political edge. Those who say security is their top concern say they would choose a generic Republican candidate running for a U.S. House seat over a generic Democrat by a wide 56 percent to 25 percent margin. Democrats continue to lead among voters who say the economy is most important, 41 percent to 34 percent.

The good news for Donald Trump: Heâs still leading among Republicans and Republican-leaning independents, with 41 percent of the vote in the latest Morning Consult survey. Ben Carsonâs collapse continues; heâs down to 12 percent in the latest poll, just ahead of Sen. Marco Rubioâs (R-Fla.) 10 percent. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) finishes fourth at 7 percent, with former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) in fifth at 5 percent. The bad news for Trump: Heâs almost certainly lost his lead in Iowa, to the surging Cruz.
A new Monmouth poll out Monday shows Cruz leading the Iowa field at 24 percent, ahead of Trumpâs 19 percent and Rubioâs 17 percent. Carson, who led Monmouthâs October Iowa poll with 32 percent, is down to just 10 percent today. The crosstabs show Cruz leading among evangelical voters, who make up about half the Iowa Republican electorate, with 30 percent. Carson led among those voters in October.
There was another Iowa poll released Monday, one that showed a very different result. The CNN/ORC International survey showed Trump leading cruz by a 33 percent to 20 percent margin, with Carson in third at 16 percent.

However, if people were that convinced that Trump is the best candidate on security issues on Monday, they will feel even more strongly about it now that Trump is on record as the ONLY candidate who would consider doing this as everybody else in the race put on their skirts and retreated behind the wall of political correctness.

If the Democrat/GOP Uniparty objects to Trumps proposal, they should consider changing their laws.
Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President
Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate
It was interesting to watch Fiorina shilling for the GOPe this AM on Fox. She must be angling for an ambassadors post somewhere. She has to know that she is not going anywhere politically on her own.
Holy Cow!
So as I keep saying the big three of Reuters, OAN/Gravis, Morning Consult all have Trump between 31 and 41. I think it’s safe to say he’s pretty solid in the mid-30s. Cruz’s numbers are everywhere, but a media point would give him high-teens, or about 15 down.
OH YEAH!!!
Ann Coulter said after the Paris attacks, Trump had the nomination, after the San Bernadino attacks, Trump was elected as POTUS, after his plan to hold off on Muslims coming into America until we could see what was happening, he is now the New POTUS...we are just waiting now for his Oath of Office...
Yep, just saw. So the big three, Reuters, OAN/Gravis, and MC have Trump from 31-41, or a median of around 36, about 20 up over Cruz. Whatever Cruz is gaining is coming as a result of Carson’s drop.
Go Trump!!!
WOO HOO TRUMP!!!
Wow! :)
Trump’s running away with it. I’m sorry cruz people, but he’s not even VP material after his statements today on Islamic immigration.
Not that he’s even really gotten far anyway.
“Some will jump in here to shout that this poll was taken before Trump’s dramatic announcement yesterday”
Lol! They say it EVERY TIME.
The MC national poll with Trump up 41/12 and the CNN Iowa poll showing Trump up 33/20 kind of makes the college poll a bit suspect.
Moderators for the Democratic and GOPe debates refuse to ask the candidates hardball questions. But now, Trump is the one that is effectively addressing the kind of hardball issues that the moderators refuse to ask the candidates about, questions that the other candidates probably do not want to address anyway.
Patriots, Trump will need your help to get rid of the corrupt Washington cartel. This is because Trump will be married to Congress through the Constitution whether he wants it or not, and will not have the decision-making flexibility that he is undoubtedly used to in his career as a highly successful real estate magnate.
Patriots need to support Trump, or whatever conservative they elect, by also electing a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will work within its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers, petitioning the states for new constitutional powers if necessary, to support the presidents vision for America.
Now that Ted has come out agains’t Trump’s moratorium he is going to lose steam. That is not what conservatives want to hear.
