Security Issues Give GOP an Edge [Trump 41 Carson 12 Rubio 10 Cruz 7]
Morning Consult ^ | 12/8/15 | Reid Wilson

Plurality of voters now say national security issues are their top concern as they consider their options in next year’s elections — and those voters overwhelmingly say they plan to vote Republican.
Snip
Security issues, in the wake of terror attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, Calif., are giving Republicans a clear political edge. Those who say security is their top concern say they would choose a generic Republican candidate running for a U.S. House seat over a generic Democrat by a wide 56 percent to 25 percent margin. Democrats continue to lead among voters who say the economy is most important, 41 percent to 34 percent.
snip
The good news for Donald Trump: He’s still leading among Republicans and Republican-leaning independents, with 41 percent of the vote in the latest Morning Consult survey. Ben Carson’s collapse continues; he’s down to 12 percent in the latest poll, just ahead of Sen. Marco Rubio’s (R-Fla.) 10 percent. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) finishes fourth at 7 percent, with former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) in fifth at 5 percent. The bad news for Trump: He’s almost certainly lost his lead in Iowa, to the surging Cruz.

A new Monmouth poll out Monday shows Cruz leading the Iowa field at 24 percent, ahead of Trump’s 19 percent and Rubio’s 17 percent. Carson, who led Monmouth’s October Iowa poll with 32 percent, is down to just 10 percent today. The crosstabs show Cruz leading among evangelical voters, who make up about half the Iowa Republican electorate, with 30 percent. Carson led among those voters in October.
There was another Iowa poll released Monday, one that showed a very different result. The CNN/ORC International survey showed Trump leading cruz by a 33 percent to 20 percent margin, with Carson in third at 16 percent.

Moderators for the Democratic and GOPe debates refuse to ask the candidates, except for Trump in the GOPe debates, hardball questions. (Then the moderators wised up and started to ignore Trump.)

But now, Trump is the one that is effectively addressing the kind of hardball issues that the moderators refuse to ask the candidates about, questions that the other candidates probably do not want to address anyway.

Patriots, Trump will need your help to get rid of the corrupt Washington cartel. This is because Trump will be ”married” to Congress through the Constitution whether he wants it or not, and will not have the decision-making flexibility that he is undoubtedly used to in his career as a highly successful real estate magnate.

And I hope that patriots are not unthinkingly expecting Trump to make America great again by means of unconstitutional executive orders actions edicts that corrupt Congress has been letting lawless Obama get away with. Corrupt Congress will probably not let Trump get away with making unconstitutional executive orders like they do with Obama.

And speaking of corrupt Congress, patriots need to support Trump, or whatever conservative they elect, by also electing a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will work within its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers, petitioning the states for new constitutional powers if necessary, to support the presidents vision for America.

I’ve been arguing a similar point about Ted the last week or so. In a normal election year, Ted would look great. Compared to Trump, Ted is simply the best of the establishment candidates. Ted is slick with a phrase and as a career lawyer he can’t be trusted. While he talks good on any number of issues, he’s bad on a good many and getting worse every day. TPP, Corker, H-1 Visas, amnesty and now Islam. Simple fact is that Ted is a career politician. Lawyer, SC clerk, solicitor general, Senator and now presidential candidate. He’s been preparing his whole life for this moment and really hasn’t had any gainful employment outside the public sector and government his entire life. Add to that he is owned by special interests the same as any other, and it just makes me support Trump even more.

We love the enthusiasm but the dems don’t like losing so they are undoubtedly gearing up the Acorn Ballot Fraud machines.

Yes but the “experts” who deign to speak down to us KNOW Cruz will be the nominee. WE just can’t understand that the difference between 41 and 7 really isn’t THAT great. They get frustrated at us because we are too dense to understand the fine nuances of the numbers the way they do.

Everything in polls that favors Trump is explained by the non-application of Common Core math.
