Donald Trump's proposal to ban all Muslim immigration into the US, including that of tourists, was met with an immediate and massive backlash from across the political spectrum.
Republican presidential candidates moved quickly to condemn their party's frontrunner, with Jeb Bush describing Trump as "unhinged" and Lindsey Graham calling on everyone seeking the presidency to denounce the plan.
"Donald Trump today took xenophobia and religious bigotry to a new level," Graham told the Guardian in an interview shortly after Trump unveiled his proposal.
"His comments are hurting the war effort and putting our diplomats and soldiers serving in the Middle East at risk. The way to win this war is to reach to the vast majority of people in Islamic faith who reject Isil and provide them the capability to resist this ideology."
Bush, the former Florida governor, responded on Twitter: Donald Trump is unhinged. His "policy" proposals are not serious.

New Jersey governor Chris Christie said Trump's comments reflected "a ridiculous position and one that won’t even be productive".
"We do not need to resort to that type of activity nor should we," Christie told conservative radio show host Matt Medved. . (snip)

Cruz’s distinction between Islam and “radical Islam” is a political approach. It isn’t reality.
I’ll tell you what I dread, every single Trump interview will be the media with the bright lights on Trump tied in a chair as they relentlessly badger him:

Yes, The backlash is from the GOPe and the Dems not the American people. I don’t want any more muzzies coming into my country!
If we can’t rely on a country to tell us the background of someone, we should not allow people from that country to get a visa (30-60 days). And make sure they have a round trip ticket. Regulate it like other countries. If you overstay your visa it’s jail and a fine, then home. Maybe we throw overstayed visa holders into Mexico.

The crusades were the “backlash” of Muslims conquering Christian nations brutally. It took 400 years of Muslim BS before Western Europe stepped in to help and push them back. Still, Muslims were left with Turkey, Egypt, Syria, etc. —all formerly Christian nations. If there had been no crusades, much or all of Europe might be Muslim now.
Here we are again. They have not evolved and will not assimilate. They will not quit and “Moderates” will not prevail. When the Muslim fatigue sets in there will be violent pushback.
We might as well talk tough now as this is where it is going. Trump is right on this as is Cruz. Christie and others need to sit down and let the men handle it.
Obama knows all this. He wants enough Muslims here in place in order to win. They will not win.
They want to continue fighting Muslims overseas but keep welcoming them here.
The best way to fight these cockroaches is to isolate them.
Annihilate them on the battlefield, and ban them from coming into your country. Don't trade with them, don't do business with them, and screw their oil. We got plenty of natural resources. Let them stew in their own feces.
