Together with a number of research assistants, the Danish linguist Tina Magaard spent three years examining the texts of the 10 largest religions. The purpose was to investigate whether any of the religions incite violence.
The conclusion was clear: “The texts of Islam is clearly distinct from the other religions texts as it to a higher degree call for violence and aggression against followers of other faiths. There are also direct incitement to terror. … Moreover, in the Qur’an hundreds of invitations to fight against people of other faiths.â€
The verses are in black and white and without mitigating context. One of the verses that deal with non-Muslims is: “So when you meet those who disbelieve, strike their necks until you have inflicted slaughter upon them.†(Qur’an, 47: 4).
Violent in practice Islam is not only the world’s most violent religion in writing. A huge study, based on in-depth interviews with 45,000 subjects confirms that it is also the world’s most violent religion in practice.
The study shows that Islam is the only religion in the world where people become more violent, the stronger they believe in their religion.
Terror The fact that Islam is the world’s most violent religion is most likely the reason why Muslims since September 11, 2001, has committed more than 27,000 deadly terrorist attacks in the name of Islam. This corresponds to approximately 2000 a year or five a day.
Another fact is that the number of Muslims in the Western world is increasing dramatically and that they are becoming still more religious: 75 percent of Muslims inside Europe think that the texts of the world’s most violent religion must be taken literal.
This is probably why 80 percent of young Turks in Holland see “nothing wrong†in waging Jihad against non-Muslims. And that 27 percent of all young French and 14 percent of all young British under 25 sympathize with the genocidal terror organisation Islamic State. This includes most probably the vast majority of young Muslims in these two countries.
Europe is about to face its greatest challenge ever.
Islam perhaps offers the oldest example of Political Correctness; where those with a counter agenda intentionally pervert the common understanding of words.
To say Islam is a religion defies logic, if for no other reason than its adherents are expected to commit evil acts in order to achieve blessings.
Being a spirit-head as I am, I have to politely disagree. Islam is a bona fide religion. What we weak Christians of the current West are not used to thinking is that genuine faith (or, if you want to use the term, religion) has consequences. It will carry on to create a culture.
The one that looks out for widows and orphans in their distress is different from the one that creates widows and orphans in distress.

How is it that soo many, seemingly intelligent people either don’t know it or are soo reluctant to define what we know?

Oh if you want you can use various adjectives like crazy (and evil, and devil orchestrated, etc.) to describe the religion of Islam. But it is a religion.
Anyone with about three ounces of Middle Eastern history knows how rapacious Islam is. Their mission statement is about slaughtering adherents to any other religion and everybody else who will not “submit”.

The Inquisition in this context looks like too little, too late, compromised, and basically twisted. A church full of Islamist influence was trying to cast out Islam but managed mostly to step on its own je ne sais quoi. It still wasn’t anywhere as bad as Communism for murderousness, though.
What does that change that is germane to this picture?

Yes there is a difference between a religion doing what it says it is supposed to do (read the Koran) and doing what it says it is not supposed to do (read the Bible and, as applicable, Catholic catechisms).
Comparative religion used to be taught in High School (electives!) A wonderful course that enlightened and educated folks. How sad that people don’t understand that. 50 years of dumbing down has really worked, hasn’t it?

Islam is a Cult. A death cult conceived by a psychopath that was able to advance by the sword.
Would you also recognize Hinduism or Buddhism as a Religion?
Would you also call “Climate change” fanatics a religion as well?
And even yet... when it came to Islam, did they really touch on the rank underbelly of Islam? Or did they cover what we would call nominal or “moderate” Islam?
