Donald Trump continues to lead the Republican presidential field by wide margins in New Hampshire, but two of his opponents, Chris Christie and Ted Cruz, are rising rapidly in Granite State polls.

Christie, New Jersey's brusque two-term governor, has jumped from ninth place to fourth and reached double digits in the first-in-the-nation primary state with 10 percent support among GOP voters in Public Policy Polling's latest survey. I call B.S.

What has lard belly done to warrant a surge?

The surges this year look to be figments of the polling services imagination, and they want us to have an imagination too.

No thanks.

The Manchester Union Leader ain’t what it used to be; IIRC, it was either bought out, or the top people were all changed.

None

Last primaries, I remember everyone had a chance at leading at one point or another. Even Ron Paul had his day in the sun.

Yeah, donut boy had a surge. The only surge he has is an increase in insulin levels due to his weight and diet.
