White House spokesman Josh Earnest said that President Obama thinks that gun control would help deter terrorists. Earnest made the comments today at the White House's daily press briefing.

Peter Doocy: "President Obama yesterday jumped to say that this mass shooting means it's time for commonsense gun laws. Does the President really think that common sense gun laws would deter terrorists now that he has admitted that these two may have been terrorists?"
White House press secretary Josh Earnest: "Yes. The president believes that passing common sense gun laws that makes it harder for people with bad intentions to get guns, makes the country safer."
Peter Doocy: "But so the president thinks that when there are potentially two terrorists sitting around planning a mass murder they may call it off because President Obama has put in place common sense gun laws?"
Earnest: "Well Peter, we're still learning of the precise motives of the individuals who carried out this heinous act of violence yesterday. One thing we do know, is the four fire arms they were wielding we're legally purchased under the laws in place now. That's a fact. So, that might lead some to conclude that we should have made it a little harder for them. Would that have changed the entire outcome? We're still investigating the situation but I guess the question is, why wouldn't we? Why wouldn't we make it harder for them? What's the explanation for that?"
Yes. Because the Hutu’s and the Tutsi’s showed us that if you don’t have guns, you simply can’t kill each other and everyone will be safe and live in harmony.

Well if the objective is helping the terrorists, then gun control makes perfect sense.
This is almost as good an illustration of how out of touch BHO is as his remarks in Paris about gun violence only in the United States.
The man, if he is a man, is the laughing stock of the internet as the World’s Greatest Gun Salesman. He is personally responsible for tens of millions more guns flying off the shelves with every gun control sentence he has uttered. Americans are arming themselves in record numbers thanks to him, and now he’s complaining about it?
It’s like Planned Parenthood complaining there aren’t many black babies in kindergartens any more.
So all the California gun control laws that were broke by these perps would have been a deterrent? The ironic thing is assault weapons will not be that big of a problem unless they are banned and a roundup is instituted.
This one will give him the ideal opportunity to go after those who are reloaders first.

I thought he said that the goofy photo of him and the other buffoons all standing together at the “global cooling/warming/climate change” summit was going to topple ISIS and have them all wetting their man jammies.
