The fact that they’re saying it indicates that either A) the facts will play out decisively that it was terrorism or B) they’re trying to spin a narrative yarn for their purposes. They’re using a hedge (”possibly”) which tells me that they don’t want to admit it fully out of an abundance of caution. For what, however, remains to be seen.

Bottom line: state with some of the most onerous gun restrictions in the nation continues to be a target for gun-related homicides. That is not a coincidence.
