Trust is earned. Obammy killed much of that.

For all their posturing as our moral superiors, to Progressives true benevolence is the worst cruelty, objectivity is the greatest distortion, facts are lies and reality itself must bend in the service of their collectivist agenda.

All morning long I’ve watched groveling, pleading, double-talking politicians (Republicans are the worst, of course) try to appease the faux-angry reporters who are demanding that the pols put an end to “gun violence”.

Not a one of these jackasses respond by saying that if we are forced to restrict Second Amendment rights then we will do the same with 1st Amendment rights.

If a reporter or commentator makes a mistake that causes hurt feelings, actual injury or pain or financial loss, that reporter/commentator will be removed from the job, stripped of constitutional protections, displayed in stocks for public viewing and ridicule, and in the worst cases sentences to jail or even death.

We have to put an end to “media violence” even before we can even consider firearm-related legislation. After all the 1st Amendment must be curtailed first.

Yes. The Founding Fathers did not trust a centralized, all-powerful government and instituted the second amendment to protect us from a tyrannical government.

Chris Matthews asked if resistance to gun control and the amount of guns in the US is because "we really don't believe in government"?

Over one hundred million people killed by their own governments in the 20th century - but they promise to be good in the 21st.

Obummer’s pitch about “these mass shootings only happen in the USA” is a bunch of hooey. But doesn’t it seem there are more mass shootings in the USA under his watch.

Geez, even Chris Matthews gets a hint of the truth now and then.

Even the police tell us, arm yourselves, by the time we arrive, it’s too late. So yes, we can’t count on government and a government we COULD count on around the clock is a government we wouldn’t want.

Mathews very likely has round-the-clock protection from someone who carries a firearm.

No, I do not "believe in" government at all. That is secular tripe. I believe in a Savior - and that Savior is not a government, anyone's form of government.

I believe we need government, but that government should be extremely limited in power and scope. There are any number of failed societies throughout history that show us the horrors that ensue when governments and individuals amass too much power over others' lives.

I own firearms for defense of life and liberty. That may range from the very small - stopping an assault on myself, my family, or an innocent bystander by direct use of a firearm. To the large - stopping an assault on our freedoms and liberties by the government by the mere fact that I own them and will not surrender them.

Look, Chris Matthews lives in a safe neighborhood, probably protected by armed security, guards at the ‘gate’, and he works in a building protected by men with guns.

Why in hell should Chris Matthews - a white liberal elite - - who is TOTALLY PROTECTED by PAID SECURITY give a damn about everyday citizens who have to protect themselves?

He’s got his and the rest of us can just eff off...

The only question is whether Chris Mathews is as stupid as this comment suggests, or is simply unable to logically address any subject over which he has an emotionally uncontrollable bias.

Let him go back to his homosexual fantasy over Obama (the tingle going up his leg). That is on a par with this comment.

The really telling thing about that commercial is the vulnerability of the home and how he remotely cut off the electricity with his laptop.
