Farooq Saeed has been identified as the possible San Bernardino shooting suspect, who reports indicate walked into a medical facility for people with developmental disabilities and opened fire.

The shooting took place at close to 11 a.m. in the 1300 block of South Waterman Avenue in the California city, taking place at a building identified as the Inland Regional Center. The facility is a state-run medical center that serves people with developmental disabilities, said Nancy Lungren, spokeswoman for the California Department of Developmental Services.

Unconfirmed reports identified the suspect as Farooq Saeed, a name repeated on police scanners and reported from some American news outlets.

You all may have heard this already, I haven't been keeping up, but I just heard on MSNBC that the perps terrorists had an actual explosive device with them when they entered the facility. And that they attempted to detonate it but it failed to go off.

In the original thread, this guy's name was overheard in police radio chatter, alongside a reference to an "intel guy". Sounds like Farook was on a watch list or something.

And it looks like they were right and I was wrong about this being misinformation.

Heh - and now I know why obama was saying something about “And did you know - people on the no-fly list can go down to the store and buy a gun today! That needs to change.”

Tell that to all the people that are on that list from mix-ups and bad spelling. I wonder what gets people on those no-fly lists? Maybe what we need is a list of people for a no-gun-buy list? Like many here on FR I would imagine.

Well, right there was their downfall. Had Farooq Saeed spent his childhood watching Cartoons of Road Runner and Wyle E. Coyote instead of praying 74 times a day to a dead child molester he never would have ordered his materials from Acme Supply Co.

My apologies to all. My doubts hinged on the getaway and not fighting to the death. But clearly these two,or is it three, had other, more ambitious plans to fulfill. Hence the quick in and out (Sorry for the pun, but it is Cal.). Now what about the other Muslim males seen entering and exiting the apartment? One thing about background checks, it will give the feds and Leos a starting point on who else may be involved. I know if anyone let alone a Muslim came to me asked me to buy an AR 15 for him, he’d get a rather emphatic NO. So if this guy used a straw buyer, that buyer is a person of interest.
