It would be unusual for the mass killing shooter to be black American. Not sure why but it's so far been a very rare occurrence. Correct me if I'm wrong but the last mass shooter I can remember that was black was the DC Sniper and even he was a muslem and perhaps even from the Caribbean.

I believe a black mass shooter shot 17 people in New Orleans in a incident within the last month.

This is news from Louisiana on Sunday. Seventeen people were shot but survived when gunfire erupted on on a playground where a block party was going in New Orleans.
