In fact as a man I would have insisted she remain in the seat and I would stand.
She was intensely political, had a long history as a lefty activist.
She was ASSIGNED that job by a COMMITTEE.

I’m wondering if you support the legislated segregation of bus seating, separate drinking fountains, separate bathrooms, etc. enough to try to bring them back again?
Your post is lovely. It is a conservative thing to give a person the seat they paid for and exceedingly kind to give a seat to a lady. As the police officer said when he arrested her and she asked why he was doing this: “I don’t know.” Even he was tired and bewildered by this crap.
