Cruz is right. There are basic steps to be taken first before we can even go address the illegals remaining. Without securing the border, any deportations would just be met by a stream of more illegals coming right back over the border replacing them. Cruz is right, we have laws on the books already as well that need to be enforced, and with border security the majority of the illegals will self-deport (and this Mitt was correct on however he was never serious about securing the border like Cruz).
Agreed. Shut border. Enforce current immigration laws on the books instead of making more. Enforce E-Verify and fine employers who hire them. Cut welfare bene’s. The emigration will start immediately.
Yup. We could deport deport deport ... but if the border is not secure, it’s wasted effort. Illegals will continue their invasion. The border *must* be secured first; it’s the top priority, the first priority.
People like BlackFemaleArmyCaptain are such Trump fanbois, though, that they trash Trump’s opponents without much thought. Expected.

Good point, but then Ted wants to have a conversation. That’s political speak for law abiding Americans get screwed once again.
I like Cruz, but he has been partially purchased by the Chamber of Commerce.
Don't make excuses for Ted. This is America, dammit. We can chew gum and walk at the same time.
Cease giving ALL welfare benefits to illegal aliens
Begin prosecuting ALL those who employ illegals
Deport ALL illegal aliens upon contact with law enforcement
And do ALL that while building the fence.
THAT'S what Ted should have said.
And WHY is it govt can only *do* ONE thing at a time??
1) Turn off the freebies and taxpayer funds
2) WHILE actively finding and prosecuting the lawless.
3) WHILE building the wall
Course, if govt was doing #1 and #2, #3 MIGHT not be required.
Cruz is wrong in claiming that it is okay or even good for a presidential candidate not to tell voters his position on an issue that is important to them.
Shame on him.

Even though what you said is accurate, anyone who says this now is going to get the “RINO” label, whether or not it is deserving. You can dump water out of a leaky boat all day, but until you plug the holes, it doesn’t do any good.
One of the reasons I haven’t been on the blogosphere as much. Cruz is right on this issue.
