Sunday on ABCâs âThis Week,â Republican presidential candidate Gov. John Kasich (R-OH) said his rival Donald Trump will not be the nominee because â80 percent of Republicans donât support him.â
Kasich said, âItâs about whether we want to have a leader who unifies the country. Donald Trump has criticized and insulted women, his Hispanics, Muslims, reporters.â
Guest host Martha Raddatz asked, âDo believe what Donald Trump is saying that he didnât know he was insulted the reporter?â
Kasich said, âHe has insulted other reporters this one he absolutely mocked who was disabled. Martha, youâre been offend by him I think. Weâre all are. We need a leader who brings us together not a leader thatâs separating us from one group to another.â

Sounds like Kasich is channeling his inner “Andrea Mitchell”

Strange. Trump is not my first choice, so I doubt that I’m in the 20% Kasich considers to be Trump supporters. Still I support Trump. If Donald Trump is the nominee, I will vote for him (unlike Bush/Rubio and the other pro-Amnesty candidates who will produce the same national destruction as Hillary, just - perhaps - a little more slowly).
Would Kasich care to comment on the 99% of republicans who don’t support Kasich???

It has got to be pretty sucky for Kasich to know that the ONLY REASON he is still running is to try to get Trump defeated. He has been MORE THAN REJECTED by virtually the entire Republican voting base.Yep, which makes the fact he's apparently now the NRC's designated snarksperson all the more bizarre. Aside from his progressive politics, John Kasich is an unlikeable personality. If Kasich were capable of persuading anyone to his way of thinking, he wouldn't be sitting at 1%.

He can’t read the polls I guess. Ninety nine percent don’t support him.

“We have to grow up.”
GOPe troll alert. “Grow up “ means submission. Not Barry Goldwater.
In England, they would say that you have to submit to your betters. It is very true that the GOPe treats the conservative base as children.
As far as Supreme Court is concerned, maybe a president jebbush would give us a great justice like Souter or Roberts.
Would you like the GOP guy to watch his mouth so much that he doesn’t defend himself?

Sounds like Kasich meant to say "democrats" instead of "republicans". It would be easy for a liberal democrat pretending to be a republican to make that mistake. And he would be correct in that it is likely 80% of democrats won't support Trump. It's a shame he's consumed so much of the uni-party kool-aid he can't tell the difference between the parties any more.

Kasich is a lil freakin water boy.
To: E. Pluribus Unum
Trump is polling in the 30’s in the polls and Kasich says 80% of Republicans don’t support him. His math doesn’t work.
To: E. Pluribus Unum
Make that 80% of those running for President and he might be close.

You're a funny guy Arthur, lol
If I really expressed my true feelings about Kay-sick and his fellow RINO pieces of human debris, I would be banned for evermore, and after being here on FR as long as I have, that would be like losing all of my family.

Every candidate has said or done something stupid at one point or other -- very much including John Kasich.
So this isn't really a winning strategy for Kasich.
By this point, though, he's probably running more for a cabinet office than for president and trying to make himself useful to somebody else who could give him a job.
Probably not Donald Trump ...
